I was chatting with a buddy yesterday after Jeep's 20th Anniversary Rubicon reveal, and the associated price tags. Woah.

I've been looking at replacing my JLUR diesel since I've had ongoing issues with it and dealer repairs. Updated pricing, from my '21 to a new-order '23 was a little shocking when I actually added it up. $7520 increase in price with same options (diesel isn't even available anymore, so using current prices for that from the JT). Additional $11,405 to move into a similarly equipped JTR diesel.

Add another $550-$830 on top of that for taxes.

Then ran loan numbers with excellent credit. ~$8k in additional interest on a 60-month loan for the JLUR, ~$11k for the JTR!!! ?‍♂??

Jeep may have priced me out of their vehicles. I expect much better service for the $ they were asking 2 years ago. Now, I just hope they use lube.

Absolutely agree with this!
How did things turn out with the new dealer place you took the jeep to get fixed? Any remedies about them possibly doing an engine swap or anything to make things better for you?

Yup, and in ‘21 the prices were way up from ‘18. I priced out a sport in ‘18 and it was about $10k more. In ‘18 it was $34k and in ‘21 it was $44k.

Yes indeed, Stellantis has been unapologetically brash with their pricing over the past 30 months. Would be nice if they had also increased their customer service.

Still seeing JLURDs on dealer lots, maybe you and/or your lawyer can negotiate a swap for one that isn't a lemon. Hoping your saga has a happy ending.

It’s unfortunate, if prices were this high in 21 I wouldn’t have bought my Jeep. I’m not sure how this is sustainable unless their intent is to make Wrangler a luxury brand akin to the G wagon. This would be a terrible idea as it would be a middle finger to the average buyer and off road community.

The price increases are out of control. I would have paid for every single option available for my 21 4xe had I know that it may be the last Wrangler I own.

I did pay for pretty much every single option available on my '21 JLUR. Thinking I'd have it for 10+ years. Not so lucky it seems.

Oh, man. Still ongoing electrical gremlins. 2 days after I picked it up, driving on the highway it chimed, cancelled adaptive cruise, and the dash lit up like an Xmas tree. All driver aids failed and "Service Required" messages galore.

Called dealer the following Monday, and the earliest appointment they had was this morning, so I'm heading back in a few minutes. Yay.

With the 4xe I went in thinking that when the next generation comes out (with more range) that I’d probably upgrade. But at this rate the next gen PHEV/EV will probably be a $100k Jeep.

It's not just Jeep.

I dare you to try to buy a new Silverado for less than $50K. Even the "WT" (Work Truck) trim starts at $47K for a crew cab short bed. That's bananas.
