Just wanted to prepare everyone as I am sure you have heard about the price increase. My 392 was ordered back in October and was finished being built last week. It is in KZ status now. My dealer told me that Chrysler has raised the price on all Jeep’s that have yet to be delivered, as opposed to any orders made after a specific date, which is what I was hoping for. I was just able to see my window sticker online today and the base price MSRP went up from $74,800 to $77,095. I am going to see what I can do as far as price protection with my dealer, and they have been cool about it, but I wanted everyone to be aware.

This has been addressed in detail among several threads over the past week. Please check next time for one you can respond too before opening up another thread.

That price increase on the 392 was the straw for me.

I've always wanted a Jeep and went round and round and round and round and ROUND the build-it-wheel and just couldn't keep the MSRP out of the 60s. I first looked at the 4XE thinking an EV or PHEV would be fine since it's going to be a second vehicle and wow, I could have that AND a Jeep too! However, there's a scary stack of serious problems building fast where those are concerned. Then I fought the good fight with the 3.6 vs the 2.0 vs the mild hybrid vs the ESS vs Rubicon vs Sahara and got off that spinning ride, stumbling about to look at the diesel. I have a gen 2 EcoDiesel in the Ram 1500 I'm selling and while I've had no trouble, I'm not liking that for long term. Besides, the price premium is huge and I don't even drive my primary vehicle enough. The diesel would be a huge mistake for me for several reasons.

That brought me to the 392. If you fully load any of the other ones I've been babbling about above, the jump to a 392 was small ... WAS small, emphasis on WAS. I watched a dozen youtube videos and other reviews and the little justification machine in my head started working overtime, spitting out all kinds of data. I even spoke with a couple of those folks who hang around forums and give us the below invoice deals on orders. I was SO close but still on the fence because I really can't justify it. Then comes this mid model year, total BS price increase.

NOPE.

So I'm back to square one, maybe square zero at this point because every one of them is already too much $$$ for what you get!!

I agree with what you are saying and understand the frustration. I decided on a 392 as well simply because it wasn't a huge jump from a fully loaded Diesel Rubicon. The day I placed my order was Monday, when prices increased. I was very disappointed once I realized it was 2-3k more than I initially thought, but I had already made up my mind and gotten exited. Plus, at the end of the day they aren't going to get cheaper. And because its a Jeep Wrangler, there probably aren't going to be great opportunities to save by purchasing used.

I have been expecting an increase for some time, since 2022's were actually cheaper than the same build in 2021 due to technology group and proximity key being standard. Plus with inflation and the prices of everyday goods increasing, its hard not to expect that to impact business's supply chain.

You might want to check this, as I recall the email from Jeep stating the price was protected on any orders placed before midnight on the 17th. Hope you slid in under the deadline!

Not true, I ordered mine 1/12 and when I received my POC with VIN it included the price increases.
