I placed an order for a new 2022 JLUR 1/27/2022. It's been a long wait but my jeep just got through production 7/5/2022. The price increased $1150 on the window sticker vs my build sheet. Will most dealers hold my price from original order? Or do I need to be prepared for them to try and take advantage of the price increase.

My dealer said that I am price protected and we both signed a document indicating as much.

Most dealers price protect. I'm not sure if they are required to though. Easiest way to check is to ask.

I was price protected here... almost a 5K bump from order to delivery. The window sticker even showed the 5K bump.

I signed a dealer agreement sheet with the agreed price and put a deposit down towards the total.

This should lock my price, correct? Please let me know

My dealer provided a disclosure form along with my price sheet that I signed. Disclosure states "Price protection is offered on sale price only, money factors, residuals and rebates are not protected, rates in place on the day of delivery will be used."

I ordered through Chapman Horsham and when I placed the order on 1/14/21, the contract stated that it was not price protected. When I took delivery in May, I thought I was on the hook for the 2500 increase but they offered price protection if we closed the transaction in 2 weeks without me bringing it up. The 2 week parameter is a Stellantis requirement according to Chapman. You‘ll have to decide how to play it, but if they try to close at the new price, you can ask about the program that price protects if you close within 2 weeks or you can be proactive and ask about it beforehand. Good luck.

Awesome sauce. It’s just wild these days watching prices soar. Mid-model year increases used to be extremely rare.
Thank you for lighting that bulb in my head to text my salesperson. Made me realize that its my vehicle order and my money. I have all right to ask for it lol.

The MSRP went up ~$850 since the time I ordered in May. I don't know how or why.
The steep increases for literally the same vehicle are starting to get really annoying.
