But if you buy it with standard 4.10s and decide you want 4.88s, a regear locally is $3k. I agree there shouldn't be an upcharge from the factory but it's still cheap compared to a gear change after the fact. It would be nice if they let you pick and choose every option a' la carte and the prices were more representative of the added cost but that hasn't been a thing for a long time. You can thank gm for that with the advent of the Denali. They figured out like 90% of Yukons were being sold fully loaded so they added some trim, bundled it all together, and jacked up the price.Gotta love gears a $995 up charge. When I re-geared to 4.56, 4.88-4.10 etc were the same price. When I got my PU there was a long list of gearing options at no charge. Gears cost Jeep ~ the same, maybe slightly more for 4.88’s due to lower quantity buys.
