As a reference, 1 USD = 1.33 SGD. If you think our $60k Rubicons are a rip off, try telling that to a Singaporean Citizen, Permanent Resident or Expat lol. Singapore law intentionally makes anything with 4 wheels very expensive as the city state has very limited space. You need something called a COE to own a car (Certificate of Entitlement): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certificate_of_Entitlement
Another Example: a Toyota Tacoma starts at about $26k in the US. before taxes and fees I think a Toyota Hilux might be at similar price levels in EU. The same Hilux costs SGD 80k in Singapore before taxes and fees. Link: https://www.toyota.com.sg/showroom/new-models/hilux
