Hey all,
Was just browsing this site and saw something about updating the Jeep app and now having remote start, lock/unlock doors, etc on it. Was just wondering if anyone had any information on this. My Uconnect app does the same exact things, but had to pay a pretty hefty yearly subscription fee for it. Anyone know if the Jeep app remote start works without the Uconnect subscription?

Different apps for the same thing. You still need the subscription to use the remote start.

I personally prefer the Jeep app as I find it a little easier to navigate.

As was already mentioned, still requires pay to play so I'm going to just stick with the original app until the free trial is over and then get rid of the app altogether.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but the new app doesn’t let me do anything because I don’t have a Sirius subscription.

So guess this confirms that the Jeep and Uconnect apps are one in the same and you need to pay the yearly subscription for both/either to work. Although so far the remote start on my Jeep app has not worked once, so there’s that!

The part that gets me is that the My MOPAR app that I’ve been using without any issue is now being “replaced” by the Jeep app, which seems to be useless without a subscription.
