Just bought a 2025 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Willys. I don't have the remote start option only lock, unlock, ventilation on. Am I missing something, was this feature removed on 2025 models? I had it on my 2024. I know it probably costs money but is it not included the first 3 months of ownership anymore?

I've never used the app for anything, maybe there's some setting in the Wrangler itself that you need to enable to allow remote start to be done via app?

I’ll have to double check, I don’t remember anything on my 2024, but maybe that changed!

As long as you pay the monthly fee for connected services the app should work for remote start providing the Jeep is equipped with it. There are no settings inside the Jeep to activate it. Mine worked on my ‘25 during the 3 month free trial.

They’re really trying to get all the money they can! Called support, the trial now only includes remote lock, unlock and ventilation. If you want to remotely start the vehicle you have to immediately upgrade the trial to the Jeep One or whatever it’s called for $17 a month.
Seems silly to me they don’t include the remote start in the free trial. I imagine anyone new to Jeep wouldn’t even know it’s an option.

Maybe it's a security issue.

Thanks for bringing this up. I use my remote start thru the phone a lot because of my work routine.

When I get to work, I leave in my employer provided vehicle, then return at end of day... often times to a very hot or cold personal vehicle. With the remote, that is a thing of the past. No more waiting for it to warm up or cool down. It's ready for me when I'm ready to leave.

It is also nice to know I can remotely unlock or lock it for a multitude of reasons.

These subscriptions are complete BS. If you paid for the option when you bought your vehicle, it should be usable for the life of the vehicle.

I know that it's comparing apples with oranges but the app for my 2017 F150 still works without any subscription fees. Of course, Ford is selling my data so there's that. ;)

I disconnected my Telematics box as soon as I found out how, so I can’t use remote start unless the key fob is within range. I’m OK with that in exchange for my data not being sold. :like:

Did your's have the 8.4" nav screen?

When I look up my part up it says
2018-2026 Jeep Wrangler
68379839ab Telematics (HFM) Module For Vehicles Equipped With Navigation Radios Are Internal To Those Radios.

is there just a wire that can be disconnected on the back of the head unit or ?

The back of the unit looks like this:
