Expounding at great length on socio-political topics has led to the demise of more than one forum member here. I suspect they thought hey I’m discussing social issues while blaming current politics…so somehow not politics.I could see how discussions of crime and other social issues, especially as it relates to specific cities / states along the West Coast could devolve into something that the admins might perceive to be political. I could be completely wrong (as always), but that seems to be your MO. Is there any chance those discussions became the offending topics?
Talking politics while not "talking politics" here is a fine line that can be challenging to not cross.
But yeah, my apologies for missing the part where you said you were the one that received the two strikes. I completely misread / missed that and stupidly thought you were talking about other forum members.
You’re right that I stumble into my pet peeves too frequently. I suppose part of that is the common condition of old men as they see the world around them degrade, but my first startling strike came from discussing the overall cost/benefit balance of adding ethanol to gasoline.I could see how discussions of crime and other social issues, especially as it relates to specific cities / states along the West Coast could devolve into something that the admins might perceive to be political. Nothing wrong with that. As you pointed out, there are enough posers in the world.I own a Wrangler and wave at my fellow owners but technically not a “Jeep guy”.
I love my Jeep but most of my driving is to grandsons baseball games and going to the local concert venues.
I’m not going to invest money into the Jeep for things that I won’t utilize.
‘There are plenty of pimped out Jeeps with wide huge loud mud tire’s around me but in this part of the country I think it’s more for show than anything else.
Different strokes for different folks…![]()

I own and love my Jeep, but I’ve only drank beer, smoked some good stuff and built wooden forts with my friends as a teenager in the woods…oh and got poison ivy…Oh c’mon, brother! Own it!! You ARE a Jeep Guy!![]()

Back in those days the "good stuff" wasn't by comparison to modern strains...allegedly.I own and love my Jeep, but I’ve only drank beer, smoked some good stuff and built wooden forts with my friends as a teenager in the woods…oh and got poison ivy…![]()
The stuff in our local stores is insanely potent. And cheap! I'm much too much of a lightweight to even take a small hit or I end up with the spins.Back in those days the "good stuff" wasn't by comparison to modern strains...allegedly.
It's far cheaper to get high than to drink or eat or buy gas anymore. It's bizarre. An $8 bag of gummies will last me 2 weeks as a very light user. You can barely buy a beer for that anymore. The stuff in our local stores is insanely potent. And cheap! I'm much too much of a lightweight to even take a small hit or I end up with the spins.
No thanks. I'll just sip on a beer.
