Here's 8.5+10 on 295/70/17s, not much outside the fender and no rubbing issues on stock suspension

Here you go, first shot is down the backside of drivers side full lock, nothing close.
2nd shot inside of passenger side on the front, again, no problems
3rd shot real close at the lower edge of plastic bumper trim, about 1/4" or less, but no problems at that tire diameter, any taller and trimming would be needed at stock height. Your +18 will be fine in that regard, much more than 8mm clearance lock to lock.

Hi, I got my first Jeep , JL 2 door sports S, about a year ago and looking to change my wheels and having trouble finding all the info about offset and backspacing. seems like JL has wider stand compared to JK and AEV is still working on the recommended offset/backspacing.

I have to be on the highway a lot so i was thinking of minimal tire size increase. so factory 245/75/17 tires to Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/70/17 .
With that change i wasnt sure what the rim offset and backspacing I should be looking for.

Could someone please explain what offset and backspacing would work? and is there any stand difference for JLU and JL 2 doors? just wondering if any discussion i find about JLU is applicable to JL 2 doors.

Thank you

That's a pretty mild tire up-size so running a conservative (more positive) offset will be fine. If you plan to lift your Jeep down the road you would want a less positive offset to allow for suspension flex. No lift you could run a 17x8.5 +25 to keep tires close to the fender edge, if you plan to lift a +10 should be fine w/ those tires. If you plan to get larger & wider tires in the future then wheels at 0 or even a bit negative might be better.

As far as 2dr vs 4dr, the fit at the fender is the same, the Rubicon in 2 & 4dr have wider axles.

Planning on getting the 2 inch Mopar lift with 35x12.5R 17 or 18 nitto ridge grapplers. For wheels I am looking at the Fuel Anza or Fuel Krank but I am confused when it comes to backspacing/offset. Can anyone help me figure out what the best setup would be with this lift, tires, and wheels.

do you have the Rubicon if so put 37s because it will lift it 3 inchs and with 35s it will have a big wheel gap if its a Rubicon

AEV nailed it with their Pintle JL wheels IMO. I've ordered a Mopar lift, AEV wheels and 37" Patagonia's. I flat tow my JLR to trail head and wheel it like I stole it. DD concerns not considered.
Sounds like a great setup, even for DD'ing!

Zero (0) offset, 4.5 in backspace. Hostile Predators.

Some mild sticking out, about what I wanted, and compatible with most lifts
