But not on the sahara to now fit 33s? Pretty sure the Sahara and Willy’s or even sport s have same width axles on JL
Yeah, only the Rubicons have the wider axles, the other models will need spacers or new wheels w/ the proper offsets to keep from having contact issues at full stuff or full steering lock. If you keep the wheeling mild and don't mind some minor contact you can run the "almost 33" Rubicon BFG tire size 285/70/17 with just minor issues. If you go to a full 33x12.5x17 tire the added width and a bit more height will be more of a concern.

Thanks. So in my ‘21 JLU Willy’s, just putting the 285/70r17 ko2 doesn’t work to the fullest? I’ve seen a few posts where they used the same Willy’s wheels and ran those tires no issue. What would the minor issues be? I was thinking instead of spending on new wheels and a lift that I’d just get those 33s and call it a day for now.

As is, w/ those 285s on your Willys you should be fine for the most part. If you get full suspension flex, especially w/ your sways disconnected you'll probably contact your upper inner fender area and under full turn lock you may contact your inner suspension parts. I wouldn't be overly concerned as it's just rubber meeting metal, or rubber on plastic (in the case of the fender liners). When it's metal on metal, then that's a biggie, or if the contact causes chunks or gouges on your tires, which it shouldn't if you stick w/ the 285/70s.

cool thanks man. On disconnecting away bars, that’s not necessary for mild trails and sand dunes correct? Only for more gnarly trails and crawlin? I’m coming from a Tacoma and that’s how it was with those, anyways

It makes for a more compliant suspension, they're simple to remove if you plan to be wheelin for a few hours, but not neccessary. I remove them for most trails that I've ran, but these are typically slower trails w/ mainly rocky terrain. I'd definitely disconnect the front sway links and give it a try just to see the difference it makes, it's dramatic.
