Adjust the steering stops a couple turns which you won’t really even notice (because Jeep widened the axle and they turn a lot tighter than a JK does)and you won’t have any of these problems if you want to keep your stock wheels. I’m running 37’s with 2.5 RC lift and no rubbing except in the backside of the rear tire. Add 1/2 bumpstop and done. 35’s will fit fine.

Nice! Thx for info! , I'd really prefer to use the stock wheel! 6"+ of backspace and all!

Here is another who said there was no rubbing with stock wheels, no spacers...but, this is with no lift: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...jlur-on-chinaman-gulch.4656/page-5#post-97186

With any kind of a lift, it appears you will rub some, but like above poster stated, you can get away with just changing the steering stops and a little extra bumpstop and can run with 6"+ of backspacing with the stock rubi wheel.

I think the confusion has been people saying 35s will rub or not with the stock wheels without spacers is with whether or not a lift was added. The chinaman gulch video guy guy said no rubbing without spacers but with no lift. Many others have said that wheel with no spacers rubs, but that's with a lift. I'm not planning on lifting so this is good news for me.

I'm new here and just started reading the posts about tires and wheels. I have a different question, I hope this is the right place. Does anyone know if a 15" rim will fit on theLJ. I put 15" rims on my JK without a problem and the 15 inch tires are almost 100 dollars less then the 17". I used Chaos 5 rims on my JK and they worked perfectly with no rubbing and a 3.5 inch AEV lift.

Doubtful, definitely not on a Rubicon. The Rubicon has bigger brakes and some 17" wheels won't fit.

Thanks for the info. I don't have my LJ yet and I didn't really look at the brakes when I was at the dealer. Guess I'' take a ride over and get a better look at how much space there is between the brakes and the stock Rubi rims.

37s, 8.5 wheel width, 12.5 tire width , 0 offset, 4.5 back space. Sport S stock suspension. In my opinion I’d prefer them to stick out slightly more. 466659E9-1A75-470F-A1F1-1DB1BE266D00.jpeg 4D8F95A8-0093-41CB-BC2E-15CEC1394FAC.jpeg 373AE8F9-3453-4616-BB3C-3891B6C18555.jpeg
That looks great,
Is the sport s suspension the same as the sport? And I am wondering if the old Sahara wheels from the jk will fit on the JL Sport and what spacers or set up would I need to get the same look as yours?

No way a 15 will even fit on a sport due to the caliper clearance imo. I love the small buried rim look but that’s not happening with these brakes.

Please tell me you lifted this at some point and you're not riding around with 1 inch of fender clearance everyday?

I like this stance. That's still wide, how far are they sticking out as it seems they are?
I'm still waiting for mine and was thinking for -12 offset as I like a little wider stance as well but only concern is throwing debris around and damaging paint too.

I’m interested in a 17x8 to 17x9 wheel that has backspacing and offset that tucks the tire inside the wheel wells. It looks like the Mopar Beadlock capable wheel is a good option which provides a backspacing of 4.4" (12mm offset). Does anyone have any suggestions and or comments on this sizing as well as any other wheel options with similar backspacing and offset. I prefer the tires stay tucked as long as there’s no rubbing during full flex. These will be mounted on a JLUR with likely an Evo Stage 2 lift. The Jeep is at my dealer ready to be picked up later this week. Appreciate your help!

Quick question for Rock Krawler...When are you (if you are) planning on a Trail Gunner coil over system for the JLU?
