  1. Outsider looking in

Check out car complaints. com.. you will see a number under the nhtsa complaints for Jl's that is astonishing. I believe it was 460+ last time I checked. The steering issues aren't isolated and you will notice a hit in reliability coming from a Toyota. Source: Traded in 4runner for JL....too...
  2. Loose steering feels like it has play and drifts

I ended up trading my JL in because of this issue... can't believe this grew to a 200 page thread. It was at maybe 20 when I traded her in out of frustation. Still lurking in case they ever get it together as I really liked the design of the JL.
  3. Who else has broken the hardtop wiring harness bracket?

Mine came broken apparently as the first time I removed my top I noticed it hanging . A 1/2” chair leg feet pad solved the rattle, wasn’t willing to spend dealer time for something so petty.
  4. King Reservoir Shocks Now Available for JL

Looking forward to hearing more about your mileage on the Kings. I had a pair of OEM style Kings on my last truck and they were EVERY bit worth the money. Kings fit and finish is top notch along with the performance. Congrats and love that you didn't cheap out!
  5. Bright White grille turning yellow

Same problem is happening with mine , mostly on the drivers side.
  6. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Haha true... a dope head doesn’t have the logic left to keep them from breaking $500 worth of stuff to get to that 3.55 in change. True story: Last week my best friend had his truck broke into off Ventura Blvd to steal his satellite radio. This is a 14 year old beaten truck with a Sirius...
  7. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Awesome! Just glad to be able to support small family business over a sticker warehouse from overseas! Did anyone opt for the Bigfoot instead? Thought that was cool as well!
  8. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Got them at Extreme Terrain, they are nice enough as I didn’t wanna mess with mounting anything out of sheer laziness. They have square also if rounds not your style.
  9. BRIGHT WHITE Wrangler JL Club

These points plus they are cool and easy to see. When I lived in the desert the difference in touching a white car vs a black car in midday sun was insane. Everything is hot there but one would cause burns.
  10. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

  11. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Installed some neat accessories. Wife wanted a soft grab handle, needed mirrors per law, and the T-Rex was just for fun.
  12. JL owners with dogs

You sir/mam have your priorities straight! I like :fist bump:
  13. "Wonky" things...

My ESS also works with top off. As I have driven it more and more, it has become VERY dependent on my peddle application and there is a defined notch/area deep in the brake where I can feel it engage. I pretty much have to intentionally cut it off with the brake now and actually like the feature...
  14. What do you use to take your Jeep hard top off

Cool thanks for the replies guys! I was having bad visions of lowering the top from high up with ratchet straps as the strap material tried to do the things where it slips and folds then binds etc.. Thanks for clearing that up!
  15. What do you use to take your Jeep hard top off

I sit mine on a three moving blankets folded to match the shape of the roof standing up on its back edge. Getting it off is easy , back on not so much. For those of you using cheap ratchet straps ( cheap piques my interest) how do you lower the top slowly/evenly. I’ve only ratcheted things...
  16. "Wonky" things...

Yep no problem doing that....just does it in the car wash :whatsgoingon: If you have ever reversed with the door open (it doesn't let you if you haven't tried) it's the same result. Not sure why the rolling in neutral 100ft kicks it in, but it does it fairly early on in the wash. Displays a...
  17. "Wonky" things...

It's the only vehicle I have ever had that mandates I hit the brake and button on the the shifter to move back to D from N in the car wash that pulls you through. If I don't time it right I put a little tire mark on those rollers I'd imagine as it lets out a chirp.
