This Jeep thing is one slippery slope.

$1500?... That's only get your toe wet as you are standing at the deep end.

Just be sure to get good stuff.
There is so much oversees junk out there that looks good but is really terrible.

Plans for your Jeep?
Any off road, DD, weekend vehicle etc.

Anyway, welcome to the addiction.

It just means you already have the jeep mindset. My 2021 JLUR is on a train somewhere between Toledo and NY, already ordered 35’s and have Quadratec floor mats in my basement, and have the next round of parts already picked out. You are not alone.
Did you get the Quadratec Ultimate mats? If so, you'll like them. They fit so well, that they are actually somewhat difficult to pry back up to vacuum around the edges.

My Excel file tells me that I've spent $983.00 thus far on goods for a JL that isn't yet in my possession.

I think I'm happy not to be in First Place here. :)

My jeep is bone stock and I dont off-road, ever. I had $900 worth of gear bought and ready in the three days between seeing mine online and picking it up. Tools and retrieval gear, knives (plural), flashlights...stuff that has to be in a jeep before it leaves the garage, even if it only goes to the mall.

I figured out how to sell the wife on desired upgrades. Take her to Moab, scare the heck out of her, get her addicted and then take her to a obstacle you can’t climb (in my case it was a 2 1/2 foot ledge on a washout). Now she is all in on lifting the Rubicon a couple more inches and 37’s. She is also sold on an annual pilgrimage back to Moab. A very successful trip.

So what did you buy?
Ordered some Lloyd Mats custom floor mats with Jeep logo, (Jeep was ordered with the Mopar all weather mats) Mopar wheel locks, Mopar grille/winch guard, Mopar 7" LED offroad light kit (those things are pricey). Later on, I want the new Mopar 2" lift kit for the diesel, to add some 35" tires, and Shrockworks rock sliders.

Since I will have the longer wheelbase Unlimited, I can sell the house and live in the Jeep, down by the river.

I have 3 other vehicles, including an Escalade and a new MX-5. I sold my 2010 JK Rubicon. Plans for the new JL; we do a little of everything with it:

Day trips to explore the back roads
Cross country road trips (Vacations)
4WD trails (love Sedona, Moab, and Black Bear Pass near Telluride)
Trips to the home improvement store
Photography
Etc.

When the weather gets bad, it will be my daily driver as the MX-5 goes into hibernation.

My 2021 JLUR is not even due until late November and I have already ordered $1500 in accessories. Does anyone have the phone number for the national psychiatric helpline and is there a 12 step program?
Clearly you are an amateur! Don't worry as time goes on you will get better at this. When you surpass $10K you are getting there! When your wife ask, "How much have you spend on your Jeep so far?" and you have to cough out an answer you then have a really problem!

When she says, "Another delivery??? I don't even want to know anymore!" Then you are moving up from "Amateur" to "Advanced"...when you start to say, we can fix it...no big deal, to everything that happens on the trails, you are approaching the true sickness! LMAO. :whew:

Sounds like you just got the “starter kit”.

I've gotten to know the UPS and FedEx guys so well that they honk and wave, even if they don't have anything for me. I know more about their lives and families, than my own out of state family members.
