Took the factory jack out a few months ago. Now I can't it back in without it rattling away. Can't find a good video or pics to help get it back in place.

Tips?

Thanks!

Raise the jack until it is snug in the mount.

That’s why there’s a plastic thumb screw on the jack screw. You finger tighten it open to snug it in the mount.

It won't rattle in the trash can
Exactly... My factory jack won't even reach my differential hardly.

Grab a bottle jack from Lowe's or, even better, grab a hi-lift jack and install appropriate armor with hi-lift jackpoints.

I keep forgetting to take my factory jack out... this thread was a good reminder

I'm not sure why it's still in my jeep.

I bought a bottle jack but left the factory one in just in case I need something to balance the bottle jack on.
I have a huge 24" 7500lb scissor jack in my cubby compartment.

? Hold on, I'll call the paramedics!
I made up 2 of them from RV jacks. One in my truck and one for the Jeep. It'll easily lift both wheels off the ground jacking the frame of a stock Rubicon. But I keep it for flat tire changing jacking the axle, which it does without a sweat on my 37s. I fabricated the top plate to bolt on frame or axle tube adapters, but if I were to do it again I'd buy a surplus military hummer jack kit.
