How high before the factory jack won't reach?

Wasn't sure which category to put this into.

But how high of a lift + larger tires before the factory jack won't work for you in an emergency to change a spare tire?

A lift shouldn’t matter. Those scissor jacks can go right under the axle.


I’d extend the scissor to its max, and then subtract about 2”. That should give max axle height above ground before getting a tire off won’t be possible.

Alot of guys/gals like to keep a jack base stashed in the back just in case. AEV offers such a jack base that plays well with the Wrangler's scissor jack. The base can also be used as a wheel stop.
