I have this. Keeps the scissor jack stable and you don't have to extend as high to lift the tire off the ground. Used it twice with no issue.
This is where I purchased it. But it's currently out of stock and not @ the sale price.Looks tough, but cant find it for sale anywhere, i see it with a hydraulic pump, but not this one, would you mind posting the link or name of site ? tnx

I looked yesterday a little bit. They used to be around $90 in unused condition but now they’re like $150 for one that looks like it was pulled out of a Louisiana swamp and approaching $300 with shipping for “new”.This is where I purchased it. But it's currently out of stock and not @ the sale price.

I would put my name on the waiting list while you search around.
I did a quick internet search and came up empty. They used to be plentiful and easily obtained. Now they are either used or way over priced..sorry I couldn't help much.

noted , will do ?I looked into HMMWV jack as above a while back and they were scarce. I believe they were rated 7500 pounds. You can find 7500 pound rated long travel scissor jacks, but all of them are in pairs since they are for leveling huge RV trailers. But, that's what I would get (haven't pulled the trigger yet).
So if anybody goes along with that, just buy a pair and send me the extra jack. Thanks
Pics of where you stash them? Then there's these jacks I recently got.

I have been stashing them in the garage, but now that I know you're after them, I'm renting a safe. ?Pics of where you stash them?
I took one of the ARB style hyd ram jacks out on a trail run a couple weeks ago. I put it under the dog/cargo deck, in the footwell of the rear seat.Pics of where you stash them?
The discussion seemed to focus on something that'd fit in the Jeep. Was just wondering if you had that mounted someplace creative...not your garageI have been stashing them in the garage, but now that I know you're after them, I'm renting a safe. ?
I haven't done anything yet. But the ARB jacks have been mounted on the rollbar or just tossed in the back. The discussion seemed to focus on something that'd fit in the Jeep. Was just wondering if you had that mounted someplace creative...not your garage![]()
This was my experience as well. It fell off and bent the first use… and my JLUR isn’t even lifted.I say from personal experience with the factory scissor jack. Take it out of your Jeep casually walk over to your trash can and throw it away. I used the factory scissor jack one time. My Jeep is on 37s. While it will lift the Jeep up high enough, it is dangerously unstable. I was able to get the tire off. When I went to put the tire back on, the Jeep fell off the scissor jack. Lucky for me the axle landed inside of the wheel so the whole Jeep did not fall to the ground. I reset the jack and the tool that you use to screw the jack up failed and broke so I could no longer use jack. I was on completely level ground. I was in a parking lot. I ended up borrowing a jack from a guy with a Ram truck.
Normally, I would have a bottle jack with me and a jack base. I carry the bottle jack with me when we off road and travel. That day, we had come home from traveling and I had cleaned the Jeep out of just about everything. We were just going to run some dirt roads and such when I had a tire failure.
The only think worse than a scissor jack failing is you injured or stuck under a Jeep with no help.
