Maybe the back side of the fairlead? It felt like the license plate bracket was right at the inside edge of the fairlead. Either way I watched it shear on one of the two. I started yelling right before the line broke.

I watched the sheath then rope get sheared on the rear of the bracket. 100%

I saw the sheath get snagged and shear off right at the back of that license plate bracket right before it did the same to the rope. Maybe the license plate bracket could be moved up or ground down so the line is only touching the fairlead?

I love skiing but doing it in that weather sucks. Constantly adjusting your footing because you can’t see the terrain. Hope it’s gone when she’s driving!
