Got my replacement today, had a look at it when I left the dealership, I thought they put it on wrong and went back. There's a sticker that says "front of vehicle" with a arrow pointing to the rear of the vehicle, they said it's on correct just upside down. Is this correct?

It needs to be put on the proper way. It may be upside down but the proper way across the Jeep, but apparently there's some sort of valve that requires the sticker to be facing down, and the arrow point towards the front.

Dealer just ordered my replacement today (7-10 days for it to come in). Have heard of this on other threads. Interested to know how folks respond...

Is there anyway to confirm the valve thing, I think they already think I'm a PIA at my dealership and want to have the correct info before I go back again.

I feel like I remember seeing the dealer documentation that specifically stated how it needed to be mounted on here. Will see if I can find it. If you look at the end of the stabilizer on the end closest to the passenger wheel, there should be a slight bulge in the tube, close to where it mounts to the Jeep. That bulge needs to be facing down. I believe the other part of the sticker outlines this IIRC.

Edit (see post #1 for Dealer Documentation): https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...fication-v41-steering-damper-june-2019.34467/

Location of the side intake bulge on the base cup must be positioned in the downward position. this is what is stated on the V41 service procedure. that's where it mounts closest to the wheel. My jeep is on the waiting list, when the job is completed I also will crawl under the vehicle to check their work.

I don't see a bulge or valve on this one.

Its for all JL owners, not just 2018
Hummm, that's interesting/confusing, as my 2018 JLUS is not listed on the NHTSA website as having any open recalls.
Let's just say mine likes to "wander"...

Go to post #7 and click on the link. Watch that video. It shows you exactly how it should be installed.

Dont know but just stating that according to that article, its for all JLs. The user I quoted thought it was only for 2018 JLs

The wording is:

"A Jeep spokesperson said an internal study found that only the JL Wrangler, introduced for the 2018 model year, requires this particular fix."

Which might make it seem as though its saying the 2018 Model Year JL only. But its just saying that the JL was introduced in 2018 and the fix is for any JL. Had there been no comma between Wrangler and Introduced...then I would say its just for the 2018 JL.

Not being a grammar police, just clearing that up for anyone who thought the same and were bummed out they would miss out on a fix.
