Installed JKS front trackbar, it always looks easier in the utube videos than it really is. got it installed and noticed my steering feels a bit tighter.
Thanks for the info roaniecowpony I was not aware that the track bar played such a big part in the issue, all the hype was about the new steering gear.
Spent the last two weeks or so talking with dealers in my area about the wandering steering issue I have with my 2018 jl And the outcome was not what I expected. first they all wanted a 200.00 dollar diagnostic fee before performing any work. One dealer said my VIN was not included in the TSB...
Replaced the original batteries and added a NOCO genius 2D battery maintainer. My jeep is not a daily driver. It took about three hours to change out batteries and I don't care to repeat the job for a few more years.
I had the stabilizer done when it first came out, it did nothing. I'm sure they will try to sell me a 2023 before this is all over. I've had many new jeeps but I would not buy another one if the problem is still an issue.
I don't have the extended warranty, so I may have to take the hit. I only have 11500 miles on the odometer because I hate driving it with the steering issue. I hope this is the fix to remedy it once and for all.
I have a 2018 JL Sahara that has a wandering steering issue. I have been following this forum for up dates and possible fixes but have not kept up with everything concerning this issue. Just today I discovered there is a TSB that has been out for a while. Am I SOL at this point.
I worry the dealer will forget something or just doesn't care when replacing the batteries. I've watched a video by one of the members here on battery replacement and I'm sure I can do the job myself. My jeep is not my only means of transportation so if it takes all day so be it. I hate to pay...
Called my dealer to get a quote on replacing the two batteries on my 2018 JL. I thought I misunderstood when I was quoted $750.00 plus tax and a battery disposal fee, but I wasn't. Is this a bit high .
Do it, life is too short to worry about a few bucks. If you have the money enjoy yourself. There are lots of folks who have a Rubicon just because they can.
Got the update Friday. The install took a little over an hour. Just follow the instructions and make sure you park in a shady spot some where out side as the vehicle has to remain running the whole time.
I like the in dash GPS, I especially like the feature that pops up in front of the driver that shows exits and correct lanes of travel before you are on top of them. I' m going to order the update, I'm sure its better than what's on there now. If the price was $299 i would probably stick with my...
My gut says yes but your pocket book may say no for replacing both at the same time. Living in Texas its hot and heat is a battery killer. My JL is a 2018 also and I am replacing both very soon. Its true a bad battery draws down a good one, if you do any off road exploring the last thing you...
