  1. Jeep/Dodge Having Problems Selling???

Adjusted for inflation, vehicles by and large don’t cost any more than they did 30 years ago. The bigger issue is that average salaries have not kept pace. The issue remains, but ultimately it’s not all on OEMs. An example I recently saw is TFL purchased a 90s Tahoe that when adjusted for...
  2. 2024 Jeep Wrangler Named Best SUV of 2024 by Cars.com

Value? Really? A 2 Door base Jeep costs nearly 50k up here in Canada. People have gone mad.
  3. Article: Jeep's Deep Problem (too much inventory; people don’t want to buy Jeeps)

This is anecdotal, but I got a good laugh. I was picking up my Jeep from the local shop yesterday after some service and no word of a lie, everyone vehicle on a lift was a Stellantis product. Jeep Compass, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ram Truck and a Dodge Journey. I can’t speak to why they were there...
  4. Did Our Bubble Burst?

Jeeps, any model, are about 15-20% overpriced imo. I know it’s just my opinion but I’m sure I’m not the only one. They may play a part in things.

  6. Official: New Jeep Wrangler Xtreme Recon Package Announced. Will Debut at Chicago Auto Show

They’d be smart to offer this package across the board. 2 Door/4 Door all trims, with different prices based on what’s already standard on the vehicle it’s going on. This would compete against the Bronco Sasquatch package.
  7. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Seeing it launch reminds me of taking off on a high performance boat more so than any road vehicle.
  8. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Just watched the Redline Reviews YouTube review of the 392. The reviewer is sawing on the wheel for much of the video and even comments on it but just attributes it to how the Jeep handles naturally. As a new car reviewer I assume they assume the vehicles their given are mechanically correct so...
  9. Water leaking inside my 2021 Wrangler

I see there’s a drop of water on the lip of the mat in the bottom right corner of the photo. To me, since that’s the highest point of the water, it’s coming from somewhere above that. There’s no way the water is travelling up from the bottom of the floor mat. If you opened the passenger door...
  10. Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

That’s two recent instances of panels being replaced vs repainted. Interesting.
  11. Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

I toured the local Jeep dealer this morning. They had about 5 used JLs on the lot and every single one of them had this issue to varying degrees. The worst I saw was on a punk’n Sahara that where the corrosion started from the hinge and carried about 3 inches inwards today’s the center of the...
  12. Bad U-joints already?!

interesting. Are you in 4WD when you do you’re spinning tires around corners and such? The only thing I can think of that would wear them out prematurely is turning on dry pavement in 4WD.
  13. Factory Half Door Installation Video For JL / JLU / JT

So I assume the black screws that hold the hinge to the door are that way to allow customers to adjust initial alignment of the hinges upon first install? After installed you tighten them and that should be it? Seems kind of odd to me...
  14. Getter ready to order new wheels and tires but I'm questioning myself again

They’re actually a shorter tire than 255/75, but slightly wider. I have them in a KO2 on my JK now but noticed KO2 can now be had in 255/75. I’m not sure what I’ll do next. The KO2 has worn really nice but ones been a bugger to keep balanced. I would like to go 33” but OP brings up a good point...
  15. Getter ready to order new wheels and tires but I'm questioning myself again

I really like those rims. They remind me of AEV Salta wheels at a much nicer price. Another suggestion regarding tires: What about bumping up the size to a 285/70/R17? It would give you a bit more of an aggressive look. You can get that size in an LT load range C in the KO2 or Falken Wildpeak...
  16. AEV JL bumpers now available

Part of me thinks the high price is to offset the continued limited supply of them they’ll have throughout covid. They need to make their money back from R&D and if they can’t produce as many due to supply issues, the cost will go up on the ones they can sell.
  17. Swaying issue after new rims and tires

Check lug nuts. Additionally are the new rims hub centric? If not, one may be slightly off center on the hub. I’m not sure what everyone’s thoughts are on hub rings, but they seem like a good idea to cut the difference between the hub bore and the bore on the rim

  19. Overlanding question

It's definitely a trend, but not without real interest. Overlanding, especially during times of Covid are becoming very popular. I prefer Overlanding to strict off-roading as crawling around on rocks and through mud all day isn't really of interest to me, but using my vehicle's capability to get...
  20. Jeep Concept Teased Ahead of SEMA360 Reveal

It's got the PCOR system, similar to what Expedition Overland has on their JT. I wonder if they had any input into this concept. It wouldn't surprise me as they also put a recent off-road concept together for Lexus.
