dude itll come back. it doesnt even matter how well they prep it or the paint they use or primer or clear or anything. itll just come back. it might not be for months, but eventually it will. its the type of metal they used in the manufacturing process and unless they replace the parts with a different metallurgy then this problem will persist. some people are lucky on here and havent had the bubbles whatsoever from the factory for years, even with their JK's, but its a massive gamble to keep the car and risk it bubbling again after they paint it once. imagine paying $50k for your fucking brand new car and the paint starts flaking off after 9 months. and then they paint it. and then it starts flaking off after 8 months again. no repeat this process for 5 years until they dont cover it anymore and now youre left with car with dogshit resale because the paint is fucked because guess what, its flaking again.
oh yeah and when you go to sell it or trade it in, every single time you had it painted and had body work done to it (which they have to do technically to fix the fucking rotted out panels on the bottom of the doors), itll show up on your vehicle history and drop the value. this is why theres a lawsuit against these fucking idiots. we get penalized for something we didnt even do, nor have any control over whatsoever.
the fact that the warranty for this is only 5 years is absolutely fucking ridiculous. the fact there was never an official apology or buy-back program for this is fucking abhorrent. no official "fix", just a band-aid. even the '23 model owners are having bubbles in their shit. theyve known about this since the JK. where the fuck is the accountability?
