Hi, I have a 392 running 37" AT tires with a 2.5 lift. Wanted to hear from you all on a good bottle to carry in case I need to change a tire.

Would appreciate your feedback.

Thanks,

This isn't a bottle jack but @roaniecowpony introduced me to the Pro Eagle Offroad Jack. I ended up buying the 1.5 ton and the first time I brought it out on the trail it was put to good use when we ended up having to change a tire. I have no regrets at all for spending the extra money.

I’m on 37s and I use the oem scissor jack..I use a hi lift jack base with it…set under the axle it will lift the wheel a few inches off the ground…I tried various different jacks and found this to be the simplest way for me….It’s already there, not taking up any space and the base will fit about anywhere…..

And since I always pack my heavy duty impact, I use it with a 13 mm deep socket to spin the crank… the older I get the more short cuts I look for…..šŸ˜…

Thanks but this looks like it would take up quite a bit of room

I carry one of these: Powerbuilt 3 Ton, Bottle Jack and Jack Stands in One. Locks in place like a jack stand and has the cradle built-in. I carry it upright and it has not leaked like other bottle jacks I've tried. No problem jacking my 6200 lbs JLURD with it.
Me lifting the spare keeps getting more difficult though. šŸ‘“

This is probably overkill for a bottle jack, but I got one of these. They're pricey, but my hope was that it would be better built and not end up leaking. Two plus years later it still hasn't. I even use it for doing my tire rotations.

When I looked into getting a bottle jack, I couldn't make the math work.

I'm on 37s with a 17" wheel. That leaves 20" for sidewalls total, or half that at 10". The axle tube is 2.75" diameter or 1 3/8" radius. When my tire is flat, the axle tube could be as low as about 9" to the ground. So, the jack needs to go as low as 9" ish then raise at least 10 or 10 1/2" or 19 1/2 - 20". Find me a bottle jack that does that.

I love US Jack and use their stuff at home. Though on a trail (or on a boat) I take tools that can get damaged/lost/accidentally left behind (or overboard). I’ve lost too many nice tools due to things like lending to someone who broke down and they dropped in it in the mud soup never to be found again. A jack is large enough where that probably won’t happen, but I’d just rather keep something easily replaceable in my Jeep.

I carry the same - needed it once for a flat and it was great. I also use it when I rotate my tires. Also, doesn't take up that much room. Yeah, and my spare is also getting heavier over the years ;-)
