@Ratbert how are numbers looking for the final stretch of finishing off the ‘22 builds?

@Ratbert Just a curiosity, but do you happen to know if any 22 or 23 build sheets for a 2-door Rubicon ever had both the 4.88 gears and an auto trans?

Both years' configurators have never allowed it with any engine choice, but I never asked a dealer to see if it was actually possible.

On all the order guides reprinted on this forum, 4.88 always required DEM - 6sp manual.

EDIT - all the 2022 order guides. I haven't looked at 2023.

Hmm. Just checked the newest '23 order guide (7/12) and the 4.88 option only states M/H ERC OR ERG; N/A W/22R; N/A W/EC1 (must have either of the 3.6 engines and can't have 2.0, if I'm reading that correctly). Doesn't mention DEM (the auto-4WD above it does).

Sorry, I shouldn't have said "all." I stopped looking after 2022.

Hey @Ratbert, could you please post an updated count of Beach & High Tides by color? Many thanks.
High Tide:
Jeep Wrangler JL Ask Ratbert 1662597355792

Beach:
Jeep Wrangler JL Ask Ratbert 1662597394904

That's only 2022s. Each year is in a separate database or else the queries would become incredibly slow.

There won't be any 2023 High Tide or Beach Editions.

Thank you!

Is this final production numbers?
High Tide: 2707
Beach: 479
Total: 3186

The sum is 3,186. I read they were going to make 4500 High Tide and 500 Beach (5000 total).

That should be all of them. There's still a few window stickers flowing in daily, but not build sheets for 2022.

I'm going to be away from the computer that's gathering this stuff for a couple weeks. I tried to answer the outstanding queries today, but work and preparation for leaving for the Rubicon Trail kept me from getting through all of them. I'll continue to bookmark each, of course.

There's a wildfire near the trail west of Lake Tahoe. Hopefully they'll get it under control. Hopefully.

Oh man, really? The Rubicon is closed as of yesterday. https://www.edcgov.us/Government/Rubicon

All that will meaningfully tell you is to confirm what I just said - that the county has closed the trail.

You'll be tempted to click on the "more information" link, but it's incredibly un-helpful, not having been updated since it's pointing to WINTER USE guidelines.

The Mosquito fire is spreading fast, the incredibly hot dry weather is helping it spread, resources are focused on getting folks in its path evacuated, and protecting the homes/dams/ and power infrastructure in its path.

On the plus side, the King Fire (2014) burn scar separates the Mosquito fire from the Rubicon proper. Still, the fire is sure to get much bigger, and closer to the Rubicon, before it's contained.

Meanwhile, South Lake Tahoe is inundated in smoke, alternating in and out of unhealthy levels.

It's at least an even money bet that the Rubicon will remain closed thru September. At the very least, make a contingency plan.

Yeah, we got the notification that Jeep Jamboree cancelled the event. Hopefully we'll be able to go if / when it's rescheduled.

@Ratbert in your 2023 data, can you tell me of you see any freedom editions past confirmed status? Package codes are 22F, 24F, or 26F.
