Hello! Need some advice on an air compressor purchase - want something of quality that doesn’t take an hour to inflate 4 tires and somewhat middle of the road in price. Will be used for 35s and/or 37s. Thanks!

ARB Twin or Powertank.

Altitude plays into how fast a compressor will inflate a tire more than anything. Most of the 12vdc compressors put out comparable CFM.

Powertank doesn't care about altitude and is by the far the fastest; 1/4 the time. Usually, the Powertank is finished with all 4 by the time a compressor is done with 1-1.5 tires.

I just got the Morrflate system with the quadhose and 300lpm compressor. No messing around with core valves, just put the air chucks on all 4 wheels super fast.

I run 37inch KM3s. Took just over 2min to deflate all 4 tires to 17psi and 2m30s to inflate back up to 30psi.

I have the same morrflate hose setup, and the same compressor from another brand. Everyplace I have used it so far had industrial air so I just used the morrflate so far. Love it. I was shocked how fast airing down from 30 to 11 went.

I really want to see if I can find a place to mount the compressor.

I went with the ARB twin along with the Kraken mount under the passenger seat. I can air all four tires up at the same time in about 7 to 8 minutes. I have about 800 in both but I can air up anytime I want with the touch of a button.

It's kinda like starting a camp fire with a lighter instead of rubbing two sticks together.

Why didn't I upgrade sooner lol

I run the ARB portable single and a DIY four way. I'd go straight to the ARB twin if you can swing it. Takes about a half hour and under $100 to build an easy four way.

Around 6 minutes for all 4 37" KO2 15-30.

Speedflate also makes a similar quad-hose system (https://www.speedflate.com). A few more options, so that's what I went with, personally.

If you're not up for the cost of onboard air, I have a VIAIR 440p that works perfectly. I'm only using it on 33s but it should handle 35s or 37s pretty easily to get you started.

Dual ARB using the Grimm Mount. Clean finish, in the engine bay (reduced noise) and airs up 37s in under 2 minutes each.

I've aired up 4 rigs back to back in July with no heating issues.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess it’s pretty much the same as all the other 10.6s which sprouted up after people found it as the Maxi Trac at Napa.

Perfect response. The only 100% duty cycle compressor is the ARB Dual Compressor. That said, PowerTank is just so awesome! Can’t go wrong with either.

I would never recommend a single compressor, or any double compressor that isn’t 100% duty cycle.
