Anyone know if the JK Klein or AFE tank chassis mount air compressor will work with JL? If not are there any JL versions out or planned?

Other ideas where to mount one other than inside the back?

I've got the Viair 450P, and while that isn't one that is mounted, Viair produces some really nice compressors for a reasonable price. They do make mountable systems, you may want to check out their website...

I've got 33's on my truck and as a test a couple of days ago, I aired them down to 20 psi (from 65) to see how long the 450 would take to fill 'em back up again. About 4 min is what I found out. YMMV.

There seems to be a notion that there is limited room to mount a compressor in the engine compartment on the JL.
Rather than mounting it under the seat or in the back, I would really like to see someone finding a way to mount the compressor inside the spare wheel mount on the back of the JL.
Inside the spare wheel mount is unused room that you can not use for much else.
Having the compressor mounted there and the air filter into the cabin would keep the compressor cooler and the noisiest part outside.
I know at least one company has made this solution, though I was not convinced on the quality of materials used.
Would like to see this solution done with some of the premium brands of compressors (ARB, Viair etc.).

This would work great. Just a slight pain running the power line all the way to the front of the vehicle. Otherwise it'd be extremely practical.

What company makes a mount already?
