I see that you are by Sedona. I wheeled all over around Sedona, Cottonwood, Jerome, Mingus mountain area for months. You could wheel most of that area with 40s on stock axles, as there are miles and miles of trails that would not over stress the stock axles. Mind you there are hard obstacles in those areas, but most that I have done did not require lockers with 37. There are trails down by Table Mesa the badge trails that you may want to avoid. One was named Rattlesnake or Python… can’t remember the exact name . Came to a split in the trail. One way the trail tipped to the passenger side to a rock face and it looked like hundreds of vehicles had sacrificed their windows to. The other side had a rock in the middle of the trail that looked like a pyramid. It looked like it had been blessed with the oil from many oil pans. Turned around we did.Anyone running or plan to run 40's?....
Still , living in your area, if you’re going to wheel it, spend the $25,000 to $30,000 to set your Jeep up right. Just like nobody is talking about 40s and hydro steering. That just tell me that if you are on 40s and you don’t have hydro steering, you probably are not wheeling hard trails. If you are, you must embrace the suck.
