It may not be as bad from an articulation standpoint, but if I ever went fast and hit a dip when the entire axle cycles up together I think it’s gonna be a problem. Has anybody found any workarounds other than going with a flat Pitman arm and notching the crossmember?
I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, but had a question for you. Did you already have the lift on your Jeep? If so, did it raise it up some by installing the axles? If so, how much?

Thanks....Jon

Is your tie rod top mounted? Hard to tell in the pics.

I have about 5" between these two points on my JLU with 4.5" lift.

Yes, my my tire rod is top mounted, but at the initial glance on the knuckle looks like the tire rod would be too low if I flipped it Not to mention the Hydro assist would be very low and exposed.
Jeep4u. What brand of axles do you have?

I did not have the lift prior to the axles, I installed both at the same time. But here’s a quick pic during install of ride height with the metal cloak 3 1/2 inch game changer on 40’s

Could you shoot me a pic of the clearance between your tire rod and Pitt arm and maybe the knuckle configuration?

You good with drag link clearance stuffed? Could you swap TREs for different offset and get some room?

I won’t be able to flex it out until next week to check clearances to see how much massaging is truly going to be required, I will have to check on the tire rod end variation options

Another thought, if your close, what about adjusting CAs to move the axle (and tie rod) some.

Out of curiosity, how high of a lift and whose kit did you run?

Bump. Anyone have any 5.38/40” drivability reports?
I have Fusion Dana 60's with 5:38 gears on Mickey Thompson MT 40's. They are mounted on KMC Bead locks. I live in SoCal and drive 80MPH on the interstate no problemo. Most of the time in 8th gear. It will shift down going up steep grades like Cajon Pass or the Grapevine. I don't daily drive it, but it wouldn't bother me to do so. I have the 3.6, it is about 2100 rpm at 75 MPH.
