Remap the spongy off idle throttle and you damn sure don’t. ….. OR+ helps, and also helps with the too low RPM upshifts without aggressive throttle…. it likes to lug around town in 8’th at low speed without.Shouldn’t need a 20 mph roll.
Uh, sarcasm??Yes, I would assume so, but not sure why that would be impressive. I can also do it chained to a tree, but why?
When I have a cold engine, I keep the RPMs under 2,500 untill I have 180 oil temp. It still drives faster than most other vehicles on the road.
With the price point of the 392 willys is really not. A loaded Rubicon with the 2.0t would run nearly the same price. Add in the OPs mods and you might be into the 392 for less. They are effectively the same vehicle. It's more like ram 1500 v6 vs v8 vs I6t.This is really a dumb comparison and argument.

Our 2022 XR was ~$65k, fully loaded. Stitched leather, adaptive cruise, etc. Gets wheeled all over the country. At that time the 392 would have added another $15k+ and the few"luxury" items we didn't want (paint matched fenders and top). Cloth seats are impossible to keep clean with the dogs. Seat heaters are mandatory for both long road trips and crawling out of the tent when it's 20-30⁰ outside. Adaptive cruise is great on roadtrips too. I wouldn't assume that choosing a loaded Jeep means it's a mall crawler by any means. If you're paying $50k+ for a base Rubicon, why not add the features that you want regardless of use?The person that buys a Rubicon for that money is probably more concerned about the color of their leather seats and other luxury items than what’s under the hood. Bought for entirely different reasons.
I choose the 223 almost every time over a 338 Lapua. I have both can shoot both anytime, but I’d rather use a 223 on a coyote than a 338 all other things being equal. This is really a dumb comparison and argument.

Well,I choose the 223 almost every time over a 338 Lapua. I have both can shoot both anytime, but I’d rather use a 223 on a coyote than a 338 all other things being equal.
Plus, the 223 is much easier to carry around at night with thermals than that long a$$ barreled 338.
So, I guess I’m saying, who in their right mind would ever pick a 2.0 over a 392? That would be insane!
But should you have toJust install a $350 (ballpark) Banks Pedal Monster in a Wrangler with a 392 and everything will be just fine. That device did more for my 2.0L than all other mods together did.
No but then again, should vehicles have so many features that retract from experienced drivers, no. Too much tech and too many things that by default are in the way.But should you have to![]()
