Stick with the incoming 2.0 or order the diesel

Yes, get the diesel. You won’t be sorry.
I’m definitely taking delivery of the diesel, but if I can get an allocation on the 392 from a dealer willing to do a sale to Montana llc I would buy that too

Early in my life, I was a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic. So, my love affair with diesels goes way back. Back in the 2000’s, all of my trucks were diesels. However, after having two vehicles in a row with recalled diesels (Porsche Cayenne diesel and Ram 1500 (Gen 1), I swore off diesels for a while. I have a Rubicon with a 3.6 and my life partner has a Sahara with the 2.0. After driving the 3.0, there’s no comparison. IMO, it provides the perfect platform for a wrangler...on and off road. It has awesome torque and great fuel mileage for a motor that’s pushing a brick on wheels down the road. So, last week I ordered a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with a 3.0 diesel. It is expected to arrive in February 2021; so until then I’ll obsess over my new Jeep and the coming build.

I have had mine for 2 mos now and LOVE it. Like you said, "pushing a brick down the road," and for that and climbing straight up a wall, it is perfect.
