  1. My Diesel Mileage Sucks

I only lost $2500 on the trade in as we are having a used car shortage & the new Jeeps went up too. I paid 5500 more for the JLUD over the 2.0 JL 2 dr. The fuel savings would take maybe 10 years to make up so I hope to make it up in engine longevity. The torque & hp satisfaction can’t be...
  2. My Diesel Mileage Sucks

Thank you for your reply, and you have wisdom in what you say. The pedal most certainly makes a difference. As I stated above, I pretty much baby my pedal. My issue is with the "advertised" and "stated" mileage claims vs real world. Hwy is supposed to be, and this taken from the Jeep site: 22...
  3. My Diesel Mileage Sucks

I like my Jeep too. Mine averages 21-22 on stock factory tires. I pretty much baby the pedal too, so as far as advertised diesel mileage, it really sucks.
  4. My Diesel Mileage Sucks

Sounds familiar. I love my jeep but I hate the mileage because it is not even close to what is promised.
  5. Both Batteries Dead

    Thank you

  7. Both Batteries Dead

Have you watched your voltmeter do this same behavior? What you say makes total sense but I just don’t want to get stranded again. Do you think I am safe to cancel the dealership visit?
  8. Both Batteries Dead

I have a unit installed that keeps the ESS turned off. Maybe I should remove that it’s so every once in a while that battery gets used and recharged. What do you think of that?
  9. Both Batteries Dead

  10. Both Batteries Dead

I was wondering if maybe they didn’t charge the two batteries when they replace them but since then I have about 400 miles of highway and is still jumping around on the voltmeter. Does your Jeep have a voltmeter that you can watch if it moves around like the numbers that I posted above?
  11. Both Batteries Dead

I'm wondering if I got a lemon JLUD. You may have read my other thread of suckee mileage. When I got it back from the dealership for that, they had found a bad cam sensor but also noted that it had "numerous" low voltage codes. They said the low voltage showed good now so they gave it back to...
  12. Just ordered my 392!

Yeah, what a joke. It all comes back to money.
  13. Just ordered my 392!

Jeep is limited by the EPA Fed. laws about total fuel mileage averages across the manufactured line. If they could increase the mileage on the rest of the product line, then they could build more 392's. Any company that has a hot commodity will build until they reach a supply & demand downward...
  14. Proximity door locks retrofit install (instructions, parts, links) on JL Wrangler

I don't believe the Sport has the matching wiring. Go to page 15 to about 17 in this same string and you can see pictures of the plug...or...look at your removed door wiring assembly connector and match it to the new connector assembly...the one coming from your door that disconnects when you...
  15. Proximity door locks retrofit install (instructions, parts, links) on JL Wrangler

What model wrangler do you have because some are missing the wiring?
  16. My Diesel Mileage Sucks

Yeah, I'm killin it when I do that!:giggle:
  17. Proximity door locks retrofit install (instructions, parts, links) on JL Wrangler

Some seem to have had success removing the piece with the magnet in it and reversing the position of the magnet like it is in with the wrong pole facing in. Sounds right. Also, some have received the piece that is supposed to have the magnet but it is missing. Check it out too.
  18. My Diesel Mileage Sucks

Tks for that info....and I will check with Green Diesel E.
  19. My Diesel Mileage Sucks

    Tailwind, downhill, I get 40+
  20. Proximity door locks retrofit install (instructions, parts, links) on JL Wrangler
