No, not at all. I just live in the real world and not a Wrangler centric wet-dream.

Buddy. You’re on a WRANGLER FORUM

Maybe the rivian forum is a better place for ya

The intake manifold is different to help low-end torque.

The generator is also in a different location. These combined probably explain the noise. There's also less insulation, a lot of 3.6 wranglers dont even have engine covers
Thanks… mine does have the engine cover, it’s my ace in the hole if I get strapped for cash, lot of people out there offering stupid money for them...🤣

Would've been fine if he had a 2.0 though

So yeah, nobody really gives a fuck except you. Price doesn’t equal HP. Never has. Never will.
Price was only a single factor I mentioned, but sure twist my words. And I'm glad you speak for everyone considering buying a Jeep, problem solved! :puke:

Nah, I'm fine with my poopy v6 for now. Just opining about what I'd like to see from Jeep's product stack if I were to ever buy another one.

If you get to decide what a Jeep should or shouldn't be, then I should be allowed to voice my opinion on what I wish it could be, right? 🤷‍♂️

My last car had that much power. And it was just a car.. not a 5,000lb+ body on frame off-road truck with a fucking tow hitch.

Good grief, ya'll will do anything to justify the only 2 piss-poor excuses for engines that we're allowed to buy in a $35k to $60k+ vehicle. Other manufacturers offer mid-range ~400HP/TQ options. It's been a thing forever now, and more customer choice is a good thing imo and I'm sure Jeep will still allow you to buy whatever budget-friendly Fiat-designed turbo 4-banger they're sticking in their Euro cars.
Easy fellow. This thread is about the 2.0 option vs the peaky, on a good day, 260lb ft 3.6 Pentastar, and compared to that, the 332lbft across a wire portion of the curve is indeed, no joke.

I have a way over 500HP car in the garage, so what, we are talking mainstream Wrangler engines 3.6 vs 2.0.

Fair enough I guess, and I was just saying that out of the available mainstream options, I wish there was still a 3rd (or 4th), slightly more powerful choice like we used to have (diesel/4xe), without delving into 392 pricing (and without having to wait until 2030 or whatever).

Them offering both the 2.0T and the 3.6L still seems a bit redundant imo, if not confusing to some folks, but here we are.

And they should only offer the 2.0 but some people cant let go of the past and their love for paying for cam shafts and wont let go of the V6. Then maybe Jeep would have a reason to slot a 3rd engine in between the perfectly fine 2.0 and the waste of money good only for Jeeps balance sheet 392.

Thank you for finally recognizing my position as the speaker for all jeep owners.
