yep-the only way life could get better is if we had Amsoil gas stations.I'm guessing that the Amsoil guy has also picked up a Lucas oil franchise.
Maybe I do get questionable gas and should change stations but i've bought from others in my travels, always the low octane, results were the same. Just drove again while ago and to me theres improvement however I still hear an almost inaudible pinging a low rpms.( have to have window open and listen up close) If u were to run ac or closed windows one would definitely not hear this. This happens on many makes not just Jeeps. My honda used to do this.. The solution was backing timing off or add the mystery oil in the tank either worked. It's a really scary sound when u hear rod bearing smacking journals from under the hood.Must be a problem with the newer engines because my 18 with 53,000 miles runs like a scalded cat and I literally put the cheapest crap in it I can buy!
Same here. 89 is ok for light duty stuff, but 91 for higher effort trips. 87 is right out.Mines pings like a mf’er with 87 so yeah I use 91
Finally, the Top Tier qualifier!I use top tier 87.
