Chapman XR order from 8/3 just went to D1. Checked today and all the parts have been received.

My order at Chapman was placed on 9/13 so late in the game. I did see on a 392 FB group yesterday something about they had everything they needed to make all the 392XR orders placed through August. Who knows.

update: heard back from Chapman and they are waiting info back from their rep as to what is going on. Apparently only effects a handful of orders with the XR. Said I should hear something back shortly as to if it needs to transition to a 22, will possibly go back to D1, or is completely dead.

thanks. I just emailed them as well saying I will ride out the 21 with xr and snazz and if it doesn't come see what happens for 22s.

Jeep Chat told me all parts are gathered for my XR and it’s in scheduling phase. Reached out to my dealer and they said “it’s being built” so I poked for a status code and they said D1. Ordered 8/29.

The fact they let someone publish a review of the XR392 on 1 OCT before we get to receive ours is quite telling indeed...
...it does imply some potential tie-in to what Ford WAS going to do with their Bronco Raptor...

They won’t build 2021 model year in 2022. The 2022s will launch in December. Deliveries will start in January.

I can’t make sense out of this…What is going on?…Are XR package 392s being built and delivered? ….Is there a mystery problem no one is talking about? ….chip shortage doesn’t seem to make sense since Wranglers are still evidentially being pumped out.

I already canceled one 392 order due to lack of information, XR package and schedule conflicts with out of state order…no information on second order for 15 weeks now…sales manager not talking…

So Toledo will be down for the month of December and won’t start building 2022s for a few months?

On the 392 Facebook group Scott Blum referenced the chip shortage - it’s more than just chips, but also getting the correct software on them apparently … I think the idea being chips are in short supply, but then those chips get allocated to different models based on the software being loaded.

But, 392XRs are being built. Mine’s in ‘G - trim’ as of this morning.

I also received a ‘Jeep Jeff’ email this morning stating effectively the same thing.
