I see what you're getting at. It could be a combination due to how the vehicle is constructed which is causing a delay. As a theoretical example, ordering Safety plus Cold Weather results in a different wiring harness that has better availability compared to ordering Safety by itself.I attempted to do that type of analysis last year and we never came up with a specific item that was causing delays.
It's a Just In Time (JIT) system, so your Jeep doesn't get built until you get to the front of the line and every single non-JB part happens to be available. What's holding up a specific combination of parts could vary hour by hour.
Note that we're not positive about the front of the line aspect of it. That's pretty much an assumption.
I suppose that unless I'm ordering a bare-bones Wrangler, I should just get what I want. I'll just have to hope it's not manual transmissions they're short on.
