Yeah, I'm pretty sure production line employees don't get that much holiday vacation. ;)

In other words, your sales person is full of shit and has no clue what they are talking about.
Don't they make other models there? Could they have just shut down the Wrangler line?

Only Wranglers and Gladiators are made in the Toledo plant. There are two plants (North and South). The North plant builds Wranglers, the South plant builds Gladiators.

Most car sales people don't really know their product, and have very little knowledge about the production process, unless they are also enthusiasts. But, the reality is, the majority of sales people, regardless of product, are not product enthusiasts; they are just doing a job to earn a paycheck.

In almost a decade of Jeep ownership, I've only met two sales people that knows as much as I do about the Wrangler. Hell, most of the service managers know diddly squat, too.

If I had a thousand bucks for every truck salesman I have heard parrot myths and falsehoods about trucks (like "you can add payload with airbags"), I would have enough money to buy a fully loaded F-350 or RAM 3500.

Follow this thread and you will see (in between all the bitching about production delays) that Wranglers are still being built and delivered to dealers... 2023 Orders - Check in Here

How do you know that they haven't stopped production till January?
My wife (who I met in Azeroth) is currently playing WoW on my machine that extracts build characteristics nightly so I can't verify directly at the moment, but if Jeep had stopped production for over a month then there would be craploads of details about it in the press and significantly more than one thread about it here.

I haven't read about the shutdown in the press, have you?

Went in today to order my JLR and was told the rubicon is currently restricted to order. Wouldn't even let him put it in. The only thing in his system he was able to order would be a 4cyl. Any ideas what's causing that?

Im just gonna go with common sense. The entire Wrangler plant shuts down for over a month. Obviously they aren’t going to pay everyone for sitting around. That would mean massive layoffs through Christmas. Somehow that information would be out there.

There is no point in wasting anymore time speculating or discussing some frivolous bullshit that a clueless, and clearly uninformed sales person tossed around.

Jeep has not stopped or paused production of the Wrangler until January 2023, period.

Are there certain options / packages that are restricted from being ordered right now? Yes. That is nothing new, given ongoing supply chain issues.

Final word: The sales person that provided this bunk is a waste of oxygen, and I would not place an order with him or that dealership if they are so dense as to believe that Jeep would pause production on one of its most popular and profitable models for over a month, at a plant that runs nearly round the clock and that is staffed by union workers, with nary an official word from the unions, Jeep, or the press.

What foolish nonsense.

Sales codes JLJS74 4Dr Rubi & customer preferred package 25R are highlighted red as restricted on my invoice sheet the dealer sent to me tonight. Will look into it tomorrow as he sent it right before closing.

My sales person told me that that is why my Jeep build has been delayed. It was ordered on 9/14/22 and Scheduled on 9/23/22. It has sat there since with no progress and no idea when it will go into production.
I hope you're not paying MSRP+ for it. Just posting this due to lots of people not realizing that they can get a Jeep for significantly under invoice. See my sig for details.

Now my Dealer's Sales Manager is saying they were informed that they have halted ALL WRANGLER PRODUCTION until January of 2023.

And you continue to believe them? I have some beachfront property in Nebraska I'll sell you.

Your dealer is full of shit, period.

Do you know how I know? I follow the 2023 orders thread, and here's a 392 that went into production on the same day you said your dealer told you they stopped Wrangler production until 2023.

If you applied basic common sense and critical thinking to that BS they are feeding you, then you would start asking yourself simple questions about how it would be possible for Jeep to halt production for over a month on one of their most popular and profitable models, while continuing to pay union auto workers for not actually doing work, and you'd see that under even the slightest amount of scrutiny, your dealer's claims do not hold up.

Please try to be skeptical of the things that people tell you when there's no evidence that what they're saying has any correlation with reality.

My build extractor found 919 new build sheets and 682 new window stickers this morning. That data point could be interpreted as contradictory to what your dealership is telling you.

Weird that you have a VIN visible in the pizza tracker but it's still Order Confirmed. For me, my VIN wasn't visible in the tracker until I went to D1 and the order status changed to Scheduled...
Mine has the same thing. Confirmed 10/7 w/VIN, no movement since.
