If that’s how it’s designed to work, that’s a poor design; it would be child’s play to update the VIN field with the number, once it’s assigned.

If you go to this website. Replace last name and von in the address you’ll see the data that the tracker pulls from

Yeah. I did that back in 2011. I’ve got some work to do to expand it beyond my order and some web access stuff to do. But I’m going to ask for some volunteers in a separate post. If I can get 2-3 people to buy in and be patient while I build it out (and I have a job and family) I think I could open it more broadly.

The number of times the tracker has checked your status against the Jeep site to see if there have been any changes.

I get the email confirmation from Jeep earlier today (10/29) and when I went to check the tracker, my VIN was already showing up, while in C status. Is that normal? I thought I read on here that the VIN doesn't appear until it's at D status at least?

If your VIN is visible in the tracker then you are in D1. That is fast compared to some but "normal" isn't really a thing around here...

I believe thats actually "D" status D1 isnt until you have your "ship date"

If you have a VIN that is showing up on its own in the tracker (and it reads "Scheduled") then you are D1 and should have a build/ship date that your dealer can provide even if the date isn't visible on the tracker yet.

If you've only received a VIN from your dealer and it's not showing up on the tracker (and if the tracker still reads Order Confirmed) then you are in D.

IF It shows "scheduled" yes its D1, if its a VIN and "Confirmed" thats just D. Ive had a VIN since day 2 and said Confirmed, got the email over the weekend that its in D1 now and says Scheduled.

Thats going to be plain old D status. In the thread from NDRugby he mentioned somewhere in that his tracker wont show D just C but will pop up with D1 once you are in the queue to be scheduled.

And sometimes the VIN won't even show up in D once it is assigned... Like mine.

I moved to D on 10/5 (got an email from Jeep and my dealer said I was assigned a VIN and in D status)... My tracker still shows the VIN as "TBD"

Weird that you have a VIN visible in the pizza tracker but it's still Order Confirmed. For me, my VIN wasn't visible in the tracker until I went to D1 and the order status changed to Scheduled...
