There are only issues and horror stories on this forum, any positive motivating stories of off roading to eliminate everyone else’s fears...

I plan on it once I get a lift and some 33s going on her! I've seen plenty of other people wheel them without any issues though. I really wouldn't be worried. It's not like Jeep will yell at you for taking it off-road.

It is no worse then a 3.6L JL in this regard. Any negativity is from the crowd that wants a carburetor and distributor as afraid of technology.

The reality is any modern engine is less serviceable in the middle of nowhere. But they are also much much higher reliability so that serviceability should not be an issue.

The unfortunate minority who either have, or perceive that they have. issues with Jeeps, cars, trucks, bikes or whatever are always vocal on forums. That’s just the way it is.

For everybody with a problem on here there are tens/hundreds of thousands of happy owners.

Yes, I take mine off road and I have no hesitation in recommending you do too. Enjoy your Jeep.

I have an 18 JLUR mostly stock. I off road with mine all the time. Have three Jeep Badges of Honor from Hot Springs ORV in Arkansas. Go to my local park in DFW area at least a dozen times in 10months I’ve had this Jeep. And gone to Barnwell Mtb in Gilmer, TX twice along with Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Marble Falls, TX. 2.0 does great the ratio is awesome in 4L and I barely have to do anything f besides find a good line and let the Jeep do its thing! Love it. Caveat...not sure if it has to do with the engine but I’ve now taken the Jeep to the dealer 8 times for warranty issues. Few mechanical items but mainly for electrical issues. Been out of my Jeep for over 120 days since Oct. 2018. That’s about every 2.2 days avg in the shop...but reality been out for a week at a time or two. Again take with grain of salt as it could just be the luck of the draw.

Since taking delivery in July, I've done:
T-33 Plane Crash Trail
Bill Moore Lake and Mill Creek Loop
Kingston Peak
Pickle Gulch and Dakota Hill and Moon Gulch

In September I plan on doing:
Black Bear Pass and maybe Imogene
Red Cone and Webster

The 2.0 has done great, never wanting for power. It just crawls right up everything I've tried.

With 12 days and 5 trails under my Rubi's belt, I have nothing to complain about. I'm just amazed by the amount of power and torque that this 2 liter engine is delivering.

I have not been able to to do much. Planning on Moab next year
This one is from Hell's Canyon, Idaho side. It is open to all traffic but I did piss off some UTV drivers that thought the trail was too tough for a Jeep. Really steeper than it looks, my wife was freaking out. But nothing challenging whats so ever. Very scenic.
