But honestly how do you expect us to think of a plan to buy a Jeep with an expensive factory lift only to turn around and spend more money to lower it down?

Putting a standard Rubicon on 35s of your choice would be the best fit to what you wanted and would have cost you a lot less. ?‍♂

Sean, well if only every modification was our "last" one and nothing was ever changed because you got your vehicle exactly the way you wanted it forever - this never happens. I have a 750hp 540cuin Camaro I have been constantly modifying for 25 years - I'll probably build a bigger engine and change the transmission and axle ratio again - just because it tweaks it in the right direction for me.
On the Rubicon X - I really wanted the big brakes that came with the X, the 35 inch tires along with other things and now due to wise advice from lots of experienced folks on this site - getting the air pressure down form the dealer (or factory) fill at 42lbs ! to 31psi and the smart move of changing out to Bilstein's for the unique damping curve as a partial cure for some body roll - it actually handles much better and lowering it an inch would be better but not necessary at this point. The Airlift rear bags really helped with the trailer towing also.
I also called all the polyurethane bushing companies to see if they have replacement pieces for the front and rear sway bar links and D bushings - they do not yet. This would help make the sway bars more effective due to less deflection from the current rubber bushings and hence further reduce some body roll. But is so drastically improved now that these would just make it incrementally better.

So I'm not sure the brakes on an X are any bigger than the ones that come on the Sahara and standard Rubicon, but that could be researched. So are you satisfied with the ride height now that you have the shocks and airbags in?

Rear brakes are larger, wider, and vented according to the chart.

Sean, yes - height was never really the issue but better handling was. It was probably erroneous to label the post "lower a 2024 Rubicon X". So now with the Bilstein's, proper lower air pressure in tires and the rear airbags set to 5psi when not towing - it handles so much better that I am very satisfied with it. And towing 3500lbs/350 tongue is safe and effortless now when I pump bags up to 20lbs to counter rear squat.

my next adventure is to look at reinforcing the hitch. I have a Pakmule carrier I hang off the back and even thought it is probably only loaded to 200lbs including the rack itself - the factory Class 2 hitch is a bit of a tinkertoy for any sizeable cantilevered load. I have been trying to see what the 5000lb rated Class 3 factory hitch is (Rubicon's with 33" inch tires) - but no one seems to have seen one of these - even the dealers parts books are unclear. I assume it must attach directly to the left and right frame rails and not just the center connecting frame member. I am not looking to tow 5000lbs but think the twist moment on this frame member is significant and can be improved. I have a full machine shop and TIG/MIG/Plasma etc. so I will fabricate if I can't find the factory Class 3.

Yeah the Gladiator's class 4 looks like it would be much better for that kind of load. Not sure if it would be a direct fit but could be a good starting point for a fabricator... Unless you want to start from scratch.
