Sounds good. Is the testing info listed on the website? I do not see it.
As far as I know, I don't think they do advertise it. Not that I blame them. You would have every Jeeper sending it in every time a thread was out of place or it got dirty. When I send mine in its beat hard and it always comes back shorter than what I sent in. They are a big company in the business and its never cost me a dime my shipping to them. I end up doing a LOT of winching which is hard on the rope and my rope has a sleeve on it and in fact covered the entire rope, which was IIRC 100 ft. Today its about 70 ft. I send it and they almost always have to cut off some of the working end which really takes a beating.

Who, maybe they are doing it for me, I think I was his first customer, I bought my rope out of the back of his station wagon. IIRC its rated at 26,000 lbs. I have done some incredible pulls. A Jeep VERTICALLY over a cliff and the Jeep was in water of the river below, it would start. The guy was driving down the river and came to the bend washed out by the river over years and years and I pulled him straight up with my Warn 9.5 Ti. Straight up about 35 ft. I used a double-ended strap and hooked on to his front tow hooks and hooked on to the D ring I ran thru the strap. Pulled it up and over the cliff and a wrecker finally got and hooked on and took it.

ARB makes a good kinetic snatch strap that’s more reasonably priced and flat, which makes it easier to roll up…

+1 for the Yankum. I wanted a made in USA product there are other options as well USA made. I first got what looked like a quality rope off amazon but when it came in... made in china, it went back. It might have been just as good but one pull was worth the price difference in my opinion.

The name of the rope was Roam. Something that my wife bought for me. I used it many times. It was a 7/8 in rope.
Ted, did you find out if Factor 55 make their own ropes up in house? They seem to be more of a machine shop. Not that it matters as long as a supplier is held to the standards. i think I have a F55 rope. Not sure, I'll have to look.

Just keep in mind that much of what ARB sells is off-shore stuff, similar to OVS.

No, but a 1 ÂĽ" 20 foot buys safety. I use my 1 ÂĽ" Bubba at least once a month and don't worry about it breaking. breaking strength is 52,300 lbs

More than 18K is better. More than 52K, probably not. I yanked out a JT sport that was 200 yards into deep mud, burred to the frame. Slow pulling would have burred my JLR. A hard yank pulled him out and I kept pulling until we got to terrafirma.

At 17.6 K lbs, those are not safe for yanking.

A good brand 7/8 is marginally better, but I'll bet a 1 ÂĽ" Roam wouldn't have broken.

Most rope experts I've talked to, including ones selling their products, have said not to go too big on rope diameter. A 5k pound vehicle won't get adequate stretch of a large rope and you'll therefore be limiting some of the benefit of a kinetic rope or something like that. Sure it's less likely to break, but you want it to stretch. I give their statements extra credibility when they are literally talking me in to buying their cheaper product.
