If you are ordering from the factory than no, It isn't compulsory. It's an added thing the dealers told them to include so they can upcharge you on it. If you are firm, most dealers will drop them. You wouldnt go to McDonald's and be okay with them charging you for an extra drink you didnt ask for as a price of business. If they are adamant, find a better dealer. You can probably find one with less fees as that seems kind of high. Did they give you an itemized bill of sale that breaks down what you're paying for?

You can also ask for the itemized pre-delivery checklist. It will name everything that is included before the factory ships your car out and is often broken down by the wholesale price paid by the dealership. they will try to tell you that the window sticker is the PDI. It is not. It could give you a better idea of how much of your money is actually going towards the jeep and what the true mark up is from the dealer, as well as any extras they request without your permission. It'll give you a better bargaining position.

Well no judging but that is a high dealer fee and I generally tell then to keep their protection. Protection for what I wonder?

Ah did you want your windows tinted?

Don't meed nitrogen especially with your Florida weather pretty stable temp wise. Mine might swing 40 or 50 degrees in a day but don't use it. Screen protector is pretty cheap on Amazon, think I got 2 for 30bucks.

Edge protector is up to you. Doors are pretty short throw I have never banged mine.

Find another dealer.

This-a quick way for the stealership to part you from an extra $900. Checkout some of the major nationally recognized dealerships ( Gupton’s is one, there are others). They usually will sell for a good bit under msrp. You will wind up driving/flying to get your new Jeep, but you can save yourself a lot of $$$$$ with just a few phone calls.

If you want to travel a few hundred miles some great dealers without nonsense. Like Shibad said Grupton and several others. Can check out @Ratbert has a full list of under invoice no-nonsense dealers. 900 is nonsense to be honest and them lying saying it is mandatory is just bad business.

Wow! Pump the brakes if you can. First, if you can’t get dealer invoice or under go elsewhere. Second, don’t accept any mandatory add-ons from the dealer. Sad to hear that folks don’t have reputable dealers in their area. Do you homework shopping around with what you want… especially if you are ordering.

The unfortunate fact is that, out of 4,000 Jeep dealers throughout North America, this is such a short list.

And the other sad reality is that there’s only one dealer, Tuttle Click CDJR, on the entire West Coast.

Good idea. There are numerous dealers within a two hour radius of Tampa.

No need to go to see them in person. Everything can be done over the internet and phone once you know the configuration you want.

Get quotes from all. Then use these as leverage. Contact Dayton at Galeana Jeep. They will give at least 4% under invoice with a TreadLightly affiliation. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/dealers-below-invoice-on-2022-wranglers.80479/page-88 May even go lower than that.

See if other dealerships will beat that price.

One thing to keep in mind. Unless you order, even dealers on the spreadsheet may not give you much less than MSRP. Some will, some won't . Also, some of those extra charges will still be there because dealers have already done those things to their in-stock inventory.
