Thank youIf you are ordering from the factory than no, It isn't compulsory. It's an added thing the dealers told them to include so they can upcharge you on it. If you are firm, most dealers will drop them. You wouldnt go to McDonald's and be okay with them charging you for an extra drink you didnt ask for as a price of business. If they are adamant, find a better dealer. You can probably find one with less fees as that seems kind of high. Did they give you an itemized bill of sale that breaks down what you're paying for?
You can also ask for the itemized pre-delivery checklist. It will name everything that is included before the factory ships your car out and is often broken down by the wholesale price paid by the dealership. they will try to tell you that the window sticker is the PDI. It is not. It could give you a better idea of how much of your money is actually going towards the jeep and what the true mark up is from the dealer, as well as any extras they request without your permission. It'll give you a better bargaining position.
