I would absolutely order again. Ordered on 10/11/2021 when they released the 2022 order guides and had it delivered by 1/26/2022 (keep in mind, they didn't start building 22's until mid-December.

This is my second Wrangler. The first was a Sport off the lot and I got a great deal on it. It was a great starter Jeep and was a lot of fun but I knew I wanted more. I got a great deal on this one too and I have exactly what I want and I love it!

I'd order again in a heartbeat, we ordered our 2 Door Loaded Tuscadero Rubi on 12/4 and it arrived on 3/28. Yes, the wait sucked, but we ended up with exactly what we wanted and that made it worth the wait.

People pose these type of questions when we are still in a world wide pandemic and an unprecedented supply chain/parts/transportation shortage. I think Jeep is doing remarkably well getting things built and delivered considering the global environment. Hell yeah I’d order again, and again, and again. As a matter of fact I’m waiting for another order right now.
You left the "L" out of the word pandemic... In a real pandemic you don't have to advertise that there is one...

Curious to know how many would consider ordering another JL considering the issues with the build process. When you answer, please say how long from order to delivery, assuming you have received yours. If you haven’t received yours yet, when you ordered and what stage your order currently is at.

I think about how this has all gone, and it seems most if not all that bail on their orders still seem to end up with a JL. My point being that there is no incentive for Jeep to fix this if they still sell Jeeps.

Thoughts?
I ordered my JL Sport S unlimited on 01/31/2022. It is being delivered on Friday, 04/15/2022. I would order it again, but my preference would be for them to tell me it would be ready farther into the future right from the start, rather than needing to push the date back several times. That way if/when they exceeded expectations, I would be pleasantly surprised.

I tried that order and wait business a few years back, after a couple of days, I changed my mind, I just couldn't wait, once I buy, I have to have it, so I just got a Wrangler off the lot that was similar to my order, I usually get almost zero options, and zero dealer added bling.

Colour is my #1 option.

Kudos to the people that have the will power to order and wait.

If I get another Jeep, I would order again. I’m a 2 door soft top manual & half doors guy. Don’t foresee any dealer stocking those. This was my 1st time ordering. Ordered 10/29/21, dealer ordered 11/2/21. Picked it up 2/25/22. Wasn’t on this forum when I ordered. Have learned a lot from this group. Was lucky to get mine built in the 1st couple weeks of production (sticker on 1/1). Took longer to ship than I would have liked, but very happy with it now that it’s here.

I would absolutely order again. This was my first custom vehicle order but definitely won’t be my last.

Ordered 8/10/21, picked up 9/27/21.

100% but a lot of it also has to do with lead times and pricing. I love jeeps... so I'd always like to have one in my house but I'll certainly be comparing it to the competition and weighing my options on cost and lead time. The delay in delivery from time of order is a industry wide issue at the moment so I don't think it's fair to hold that against Jeep when everyone else is struggling with the same supply constraints.

waiting on Jeep Rubicon 4xe by 6/10
This is only the 2nd/3rd time I've ever ordered a vehicle vs picking one off the lot. Granted it was a Ford Focus manual out of college, but I think I waited 6-8 weeks for that one. As there literally wasn't any like the one I wanted except yellow in the entire country at the time. And it was a great car for me, well worth the wait.

Now, this one is the 3rd, as I ordered a Pacifica Hybrid for the wife 1/2 weeks before my order on this Jeep. Hers is finally being built sometime this month and at the latest, it would be delivered in Mid-June. Which would be 5 months since ordering.

My Jeep is still not being built, I would say it's closer to July/August unless it gets built sometime this month as well, which I doubt it. And that would be 5/6 Months as well.

I've looked into ordering some other cars, and they are just as long of a wait, and they won't discount anything off of it. So I went with the one that went with the most financial savings (I'm leasing all my vehicles) and something that I could enjoy driving for the next 2-3 years.

I think any popular vehicle with as many options as this one has, you will be waiting a few months. I'd do it again, but I just wish I ordered sooner.

I haven’t read all of these responses but it’s not Jeep who’s doing this to you guys. I’m sure Jeep is cranking out every single unit they can, all while launching new Grand Cherokees and the Wagoneer line. The waiting sucks but at least you’re not waiting on a product from a company who can’t manage a vehicle launch if it was the only thing they do. Oh wait…lol

I understand your point, but no one here is interested in ordering a RAV4. I never meant this to try to be a comparison of how Jeep is handling orders compared to others but how they are handling orders in relation to their customer base. Each manufacturer is dealing with the outside forces in different ways, and i have seen first hand how Jeep is handling the issue and wanted to find out how others feel about it.
But I’m not asking what one would do based on my experience but what they would do based on their experience.

There are some that say the problem orders are few and exceptions. Are they or is the problem more widespread.
If you don't look at the question in the context of ordering a new vehicle, any new vehicle, then the answer changes for a lot of people. Would I order a new JL if the wait was 1.5 years, like it was for the Ford Bronco, no way. If the Jeep takes several months, then the answer is absolutely. Why would anyone order a new vehicle if there are "issues" when there are other vehicles without issues...but that's not the case is it?

Many people can't find a "new" vehicle on the lot because of low supply, that's why used car prices are insane. So, in the context of trying to buy a new vehicle, any new vehicle, the JL is one of the easiest to order and have delivered in a relatively short time.

Your original post has no context, related to other vehicles or not, so it's easy to answer yes I'd order a new JL. In fact, I've ordered two new JLs in the last ten months, it's been that satisfying. I've ordered five new vehicles in the last 18 months and have only received three out of five, two of which were JLs that each took 2 - 3 months and an F150 that took eleven months.

Yes I would. And for background I am on my 4th JLUR, and 2 were repurchased. I had issues with my 2018 and 2019 JLURs, however my 2020 was great. I sold the 2020 v6 and ordered a 2021 Eco-Diesel Rubicon. It has also been great.

Do some Jeeps have issues... Yes for sure. Are all bad, no.

I would order another if there is a new option I want like that new I6 twin turbo engine for example. Or if the 4xE had longer range etc.

I know that even though I had issues, and lots on here post issues, that is not a guarantee that every jeep will be trouble.

I also am not a fanboy or brand loyal. If the Bronco proves it can meet my needs, and is obtainable I would consider it.

I’m one of the ones that bailed. I didn’t bail on Jeep. I bailed on my dealer that refused to do his job and look into why my Jeep sat at the factory for nearly 3 months after being built. I’m sure he didn’t care since he probably marked it up when he sold it to someone else. I was still willing to buy it but when I told him I bought another one he refused to sell it to me.

It’s not unreasonable to wait 3 or 4 months for a special order. It is unreasonable to be expected to wait with no explanation when you know it’s built and just sitting there. I got tons of excuses that didn’t make sense. I was told there weren’t enough trucks or trains but I bought my Jeep 20 miles from my dealer and the VIN was in the 67000s. My original order had a VIN in the 9000s. Trains and trucks weren’t the problem.

I would order again, and probably will fairly soon, but I’ll make sure to research the dealer a bit better and go with one with a better customer service history.
