AUeng is correct, my 2021 Willys it does nothing, my 2016 Willys also didn’t have lighting in the footwell. Only certain “models” have the ambient footwell lighting, the switch fills a gap/hole in the dash.

The fact that they leave a non-functioning dial in is bizarre. It would be like having the power window buttons intact but you have roll down windows. Oh well!

It also controls the brightness of your GPS system, which at night you don't want glaring you in the face. You can set the wheel so the interior lights correspond with the darkness and the GPS face will dim so you can see out your windshield.

If you have the 2.0 Turbo 4 and turn that dial all the way up it gives you 10 seconds of overboost which is another 10HP and 25 Ft lbs of torque, don’t listen to these guys it has nothing to do with dimming the lights..lol

Look at the icon/markings along side the dial.

Obviously it turns down the Sun (turning day into night).

It's the final solution to the climate debate and it's been there the whole time.

It does function.

It only functions when your headlights are on. If your headlights are set to "auto" then your headlights might be off

I’ve tried it all. I’ll give it another whirl though if you’re saying it definitely does something in a 21 Willys. Thanks!

You are all wrong. This dial controls the difficulty of installing a Tazer Mini. Make sure you turn it all the way down before starting the installation.

Normally the manual is helpful for things like this. Unfortunately in this case the manual completely fails to address the fact that this dial is entirely non-functional in some models because they DO NOT have the lights that this dial controls.

Protip: the dial on the right controls the dash lighting, including the brightness of the Uconnect screen. If you click it past the first stop at the top, it will force it to full brightness.

This ALSO forces Android Auto to remain in "day" mode, even at night. If you want Android Auto (and I presume Carplay) to automatically switch between day/night modes, you cannot leave this wheel clicked to the first stop.

Ask me how I spent 3 days trying to figure this out...
