What does this do??

I’ve messed with this for a while now and can’t figure out what it actually does. I know the one beside it lowers the brightness on the dash and turns on the overhead lights but can’t seem to figure this one out. I thought maybe it just came in all wranglers and maybe mine didn’t have the features it would control until I got a loaner jeep for a few days and noticed it didn’t have this toggle. What gives??

Interior ambient lighting. It's very subtle and you'll only notice it in complete darkness.

Look in the cup holder, it's the most obvious place. There's also a couple of lights under the dash in each footwell. It's white in color.

Also door Handle interior pulls have the little light.

Not 100% sure but it might be trim specific.

Certain trims have more lights that that switch controls. On most sports I believe you will only notice it in the door at night. Higher models have ambient foot lighting and other spots

That would be THE MOST coveted option!
Other reasons: Any time the following is uttered from the passenger seat..
1. It's too cold.
2. It's too windy.
3. It's too hot.
4. It's raining.
5. Let's stop at that Target.
6. Any other bullshit that may tend to reduce Wrangler enjoyment.
Take my money... NOW!!! LOL!!!

As others have said that's the interior accent lighting fade dial. I believe this option has been removed from the 2023 models.
