Ohh. I interpreted it as compression ratio... since it was adjacent to displacement & crankshaft size.

I-6 without turbos? They're a fundamental part of the design such that the turbo-specific exhaust manifold is integrated with the cylinder head. Good luck on them neutering it like that.
I know just saying. Had experience with turbos a lot of heat to consider. And wait until you have to replace one. $$$

Cummins?

2.0 because it’s a great motor, fun to drive, and gets great fuel mileage.

3.0 for a little extra scoot and trailer towing with a gas motor

And a small Cummins (turbo I4) because that probably should have gone in instead of the VM 3.0 ecodiesel.

Anything with a turbo or hybrid should be thrown in the trash. Period. Overly complicated and unnecessary. The only reason they came into being is because of government intervention.

I chose the Pentastar because there is not a modern I6 without a turbo. A V8 for a higher output option. I would use a smaller Cummins like a I4, again without a turbo.

Simple, reliable, and easy to maintain.

I think a 5.7 hemi would be tempting but I'm reasonably certain it would be a gas hog and I'm not sure how that would work in a 2-door jeep. Wheelies? ?

I only have one option as I only drive manuals. Answered as such.

BUT if the manual had been offered with the diesel, I would have went for the diesel.

The 392s have full time 4WD...So I'd imagine like that. :CWL:

Just a little underpowered, a 392 about perfect, especially fun with a Tremec Magnum 6 spd. A Wrangler is wider, longer and heavier than a CJ no problem in the 500+- hp range, Hellcat, not sure, but a lighter, smaller ~700 hp 63 torqued the right wheels off the ground with sufficient traction. Way off the ground ? ? :please: The ~400 hp range was perfect, and I ruined it. ?

A 2.8l Cummins would be freaking unbelievable crawling, not to mention MPG's.
