I think the bear spray is the greatest invention for a trailer ever! You could shut up an entire campsite that’s being too loud with the press of a button! I’d probably need the bulletproof option because I know I’d be using that bear spray all the time.
I’d recommend calling Dirk at DPG Off-road if you have any questions about Old Man Emu springs. He is very knowledgeable and can put together a hybrid kit OME/JKS/Currie made just for you. I’ve bought 3 kits from him and have always been very impressed.
I also have the 3rd gear "burp" around 2800 rpms. Been like that since new. I think it's the VVT switching over to the high-lift lobe.

I can imagine. My Jeep sand dune jumping days are over. I've broken engine & transmission mounts, shocks, springs and lost my rear driveshaft. The worst part is driving home in FWD, a pop bottle and duct tape holding the transfer case fluid in, horrible death-wobble, and the engine and...
For a DIYer, ACT seems the way to go. I don't want to have to mess with the hydraulics if I don't have to.
I'm going to wait to see what the Jeep fix is, but I'm guessing I'll be disappointed with what Jeep comes up with and will most likely be buying an ACT clutch.
I personally hate the OEM...
Correct. JT Rubicon shocks are 2.5 Fox shocks. Rear travel is the same. The mounts are a little bit different, but pretty easy to get to work.
The JT Fox shocks are quite a bit softer than the JL Rubicon “reds”. I really like the softer ride, but it will lean more in the corners and dive...
That's interesting. I've had the gritty/grindy feeling since I picked up my Jeep brand new at the dealership. I thought it was because the clutch wasn't bled all the way. With 5k miles on the Jeep right now, makes me wonder how much longer mine will last.
I'm not sure if Rubicon shocks work on a Sport, but you can find JT Rubicon shock (same lengths as JL Rubicon shocks) take-offs for cheap. These are 2.5 Fox shocks and remind me of the old Old Man Emu shocks (before they went to the nitrochargers). They are much softer than the Rubicon reds...
There's no way I'd take that deal. Having only one car for the rest of my life, no matter how cool it is, would suck! I'm not going to marry a car. My cars don't get jealous when I drive another car. I'm an automobile serial cheater and proud of it!
Anyways, I'm pretty close to having my...
Save yourself a lot of time and money and take that Rough Country suspension and throw it in the trash. Then install a quality lift kit.
I bought a Rough Country lift for my 89 YJ many years ago. It was the worst piece of junk I've ever bought in my life. The packaging was crap. The finish...
That sounds exactly like what my Jeep does. I have about 4500 miles on my Jeep and the hesitation has been since new. It’s a 2022 JLR 3.6 with 6-speed and 4.88 gears. I’ve driven two other V6 JLs with autos and those felt super smooth.
I might just start throwing parts at it (spark plugs...
Dirk from DPG off-road is great. I’ve purchased a couple of kits from him. Both of my TJs had lifts from him. He is the first person I’ll call when I lift my JLR.
I did get my crankshaft position sensor, but I have not installed it yet. But, I did a little digging around the forums and found that this seems to be a pretty common problem.
