I've used piggyback tuners, and investigated the same for the 2.0T in my JLU.

From experience, I had guessed that any such plug-and-play fitments for the Jeep would do little more than faff about with the fueling and the boost, and little or nothing else, to deliver performance gains. My research confirmed this reality. I therefore decided that if was going to chase such gains, I'd eventually invest in a full tune via a modified ECU. This is what I'm currently keeping in mind.

Piggybacks have their place, and in isolation I've no complaints about the simple solution that they provide. I'm now just seeking to take a holistic approach, one that in my mind has a long-term and beneficial effect on the continued health of the powertrain.

Best of luck with your choice(s) here. ?
I've heard of other people going this route as well. I have the JB4 and plan on installing it just to see if I like it. If not, I'll just sell it and go a route like this. How much are they charging for their tune? Saw the thread was 28 pages so was hoping you might have a quicker answer. haha. Thanks for all the info.

Not bad at all, I can sell my JB4 for more than half of that. Do I need anything else for this tune? Are there different stages? I guess I should stop be lazy and just read it myself but I'm sure there's a lot of off topic comments in that post. I assume this voids the warranty or would a Jeep "tech" even know?

I mean, reading the thread if you're interested in the tune could be the move. All you do is send your ECU to them and get it back with the tune. EC has said they can tune for cold air intakes, charge pipes, blow-off or diverter valves and exhaust upgrades. They've mentioned different phases of their JL tuning but for now, phase 1 is all that's available (phase 2 is looking like a bigger/improved turbo). If you're worried about warranty, you can snag a spare ECU from ebay, pick and pull, what have you and they can copy your stock tune onto it.

Stay away from "low restriction" intakes, which most use filters that will let more dirt through. K&N comes to mind.

Spend the $400 on a road trip to a trail.

Absolutely++++ on the Redline struts. I spent $200 on PDR to repair my hood after a wind gust lifted the hood off of the prop and slammed it against the windshield header. Surprised the damage to the hood was not worse.

The JB4 is removable and doesn't void warranty, I think that's the big draw. I would do the real ECU tune as @Heimkehr suggested, but yes expect your warranty to go goodbye. If you're worried about it, I would spend the money on an exhaust. I'm a sucker for good sound.

Been there, done that! Dang wind snagged the hood on my 2020 one night when I was adjusting the new headlights that I had just installed. Ordered the struts the next morning after stopping by the PDR shop to make an appointment to get the dents removed.
