Maybe I was just lucky but after a few filings and test fits both my connectors go in and out fairly easily
It couldn't be the fat fingers I have or your skill at filing..... I have a 14 year old granddaughter that does it for me now.

I just have to get on her schedule...... LOL

When I first got the Tazer I was not sure on the install and setup so I got with @TTEChris of Tankcustoms who did the work on my Jeep and asked if he could help me with it when it came in and he said sure so while waiting for it I figured I would try to get them out and it took me almost 30 mins to get one out and I even had the front panel out.

Well fast forward when it came in I went over to Chris’s shop with Tazer in hand and told him how much trouble I had just getting the one out and he literally reached under the dash without even looking and snapped both out in under a minute so some like him are blessed with that ability, after that I had to take my JL for a service visit and getting them out again was a pain so that’s when I filed both and that apparently helped a lot as now they are pretty easy in and out

@Greenie I had a very similar experience two weeks after I got my Jeep in May. It had to be towed to the dealership after all the lights and wipers went nuts and then the entire thing shut down. After a week at the dealership, they found the bus bar was bad. Once that was replaced, all was good and I haven’t had a problem since with 12k miles.

Edit: Just wanted to mention that I did not have a Tazer at that time.
I was told that the cause for mine was that the main power distribution fuse was blown, the technician checked over all the systems that can blow that fuse and everything seems to be working well at this time.

@NCIC105

I have probably disconnected those two connectors a dozen times plus, since early May. One time they easily disconnect and then the next time they fight me. One time the smaller connector fought me so bad, .... (did not want to release) I ended up with a blister on the tip of my index finger..

IF I still had teen kids living with me, they would be nominated to do the disconnections. You know, small hands, bodies that can contort, etc.. Teens are designed for disconnecting those connectors.

Just reminded me, I have to fool with those two connections this coming week as Joe has a unit on the way for me to try on my JL. Geeez, maybe this time I will have my young gal pal, have a go at the connectors. 8-)
Well, I disconnected them once today and my gal pal disconnected them once today, so she could experience the chore.. Go figure, both times they disconnected easily.

Was doing some testing so that is the why for two disconnects in one day.

I have to say what a Great Product, and the customer service is excellent..... I had a request for a feature and within a day, they released a beta version that meets my needs. While I know some requests are not as easy as mine, they stand ready to assist you and try to resolve any concerns you have...

Great job Guys and a Great Product you brought to market!

Question... I noticed today that if I manually turned off the ESS feature (Tazer is set to disable upon startup), that when the Jeep Auto-starts upon brake release, the ESS gets disabled again automatically

Is that normal??

I kind of like it that way, as there are only a couple intersections in my daily commute where I sit long enough to want the ESS to trigger, so clicking it on for those and having it re-disable after I get going is kind of good for me.

Another happy customer. I changed my TPMS setting after adding larger tires, calibrated my Speedo.

How many leave the Tazer plugged in? I like the ESS defeat but wonder about leaving it plugged in all of the time??

I keep it where it is & remove it for dealer visits. @Jeepjunkie … what are the concerns about leaving it plugged in?
