Super easy to install... See my thread I posted earlier today. You won’t be disappointed with the table. I also put a link for where I got it. 5B4B92CF-CA26-4C71-B14D-B84BFE0B61A3.jpeg 5B4B92CF-CA26-4C71-B14D-B84BFE0B61A3.jpeg D6F13EA0-E193-4542-AF2B-FA14A1A8F9F3.jpeg

Do you have a new JL Wrangler with that louvered plastic piece on the back. It looks like it could be something but sadly its just for looks. BUT! is it? Yes it is. So here is a cheap way to make it something.

Start by popping it off. This is done by pulling straight out starting next to the power cord strap. It just snaps in so give it a tug.

Then buy yourself some straps. HitchMate makes some decent ones for less than $10 (amazon)

Then thread them in how ever you want.

I used mine to hold a fire extinguisher. But you can put a shovel or axe the world is your oyster.

I bought some molle bags off amazon yesterday with hopes of eventually mounting them to some type of system... i wonder if the molle straps would fit through those panel holes as well...

Couldn't get the MOLLE bag straps through the louvres. Picked up some $ store velcro straps and BANG - we're mounted!! Large bag has a first aid kit, one houses my other sweet Amazon find, a survival kit and the other for miscellaneous.

Got the idea from another member here but I installed the Mopar Tailgate Table and added some Amazon molle bags to the underside.

Any issue with the table only being rated for 25lbs doing that?

Thinking paracord would be a cheap and easy way to strap them also.

No Sir! It honestly could probably hold 50lbs just fine. I’m sure Mopar rated it low on weight for liability reasons. Very sturdy.

Yup sure can! This is with the table down. I simply went through the spaces in the table and snapped them in.

The molle bags can work nearly anywhere in your vehicle that they can hug and snap back to themselves. To answer your question more directly in relation to the tailgate would be a Yes:

Yes you could possibly use them mounting directly to your stock tailgate as it also (as seen in the photo above) has similar space patterns, however, it would be much harder to “thread” them. You would likely have to remove the panel, thread, and reinstall the panel. The panel removal is VERY easy though.

Here ya go!

I got the entire idea from @paulr

In his thread here:

Props to @paulr for the great idea! Came out perfect!

Here is my DIY on the table installation itself:
