I'm thankful that my eyes have been very resistant to strain from natural sunlight. Never had to use visors, much less sunglasses while driving.

Mind you with my luck, one of those visors will just randomly fall off one day on its own ?
THAT'S what mine did on my 2020 JLU.Landed in my lap and scared the bejeebers out of me not to mention I almost drove off the road... Got it fixrd under warranty but now keeping a blurry eye on my 2023 JL visors.. Wonder if they fixed the problem for 2023

not sure what y'all do with your sun visors but dang y'all are rough on them. on year four of owning my jeep and have not hand a problem at all with mine
Same here! Was wondering how mine in my 2020 with 38k miles on it could have been broken. I use mine often too!

I use mine on 2021 JLU all the time to go to topless. But I treat it like a newborn. I proactively put the repair clip on about 3months ago just in case.
Yep it sucks. I just wear sun glasses. Haven't flipped down a sun visor in 35 years.

I guess it's plausible that not every single sun visor actually broke ?

Same here. I know that if I ever do have one break, I'll use the other method that uses a snap ring or a press on locking retainer. Not paying $20 for those overpriced brackets.
Ali Express. Prices in screenshot are Canadian. Took less than a month to get here.

I also put the repair clips on mine. Still wiggle though.

Same. Not sure if it's certain batches or what, but I'm rolling into year 5 and have not had an issue. Now that I just said that I realize I just hosed myself...

Right! I’ll keep an eye out but if I can get a better product for 10-20 bucks once it’s broke I’ll go that route. Not a big deal

yeah, not exactly a better product. More like a band-aid over a broken part

Pull the sun visor down and extend it. take some silicon o ring lubricant and apply with a finger to the shaft. Recess and extend the visor and rotate it to spread the lubricant.

I did this shortly after purchase and 10k miles later no issues. A lot less stress on the attachment point.

2 drivers side, 1 passenger side replaced under warranty. They claim the drivers with home link is over $400. You would think if it were that much and they were replacing them that often, they would come up with a fix. Was such a hassle making a dealer appointment and leaving the jeep for the day, I did the retaining thing fix on the passenger side when it broke again (4th time now). It's held up very well.

We don't abuse the visors and in fact the passenger one is almost never used but broke while driving on a trail, still in the up and clipped position. Stupid design, poor quality materials. Why they changed to these after how many years with the yj, tj, jk and worked just fine? Kindof like the jl steering... Find a way to create a problem that wasn't there.

those of us from the CJ and YJ days don't have that issue, because we've been trained to only flip them up and down, instead of flipping them around to the side.
